I didn't realize that "glorious camping" is such a thing. But apparently it is.

Any suggestions for "glamping" in the Smokey Mountains?

And before anyone asks or suggests, no, my family won't do traditional camping --- which is how I became informed about "glamping."

I believe it is "Glamorous Camping" btw.

The company "Under Canvas" has locations the last few places I've lived here in the Rockies. Prolly out east too.

Fancy and expensive. You'll hate it and the family will love it.

Glamping experience is way overpriced in most places.

No e in Smoky Mountains.

You are basically staying in canvas tents with nice furniture in them.

Just get a cabin, they will hate this too.

I like camping. I like staying at rental cabins in rustic areas. I like staying at nice hotels/resorts on occasion.

I don't get the concept of "glamping." It's like the worst parts of all three above.

Apparently urban women enjoy it because it looks good on their social media.

A cabin would be much better IMO.

to all that have responded.

Any suggestions for cabins in Tennessee or North Carolina?

Or any other beautiful scenery for that matter?

Before social media it was just because sleeping on the ground and not having a bathroom/shower wasn't going to fly.

I had never glamped til this summer. It was at resorts or state campgrounds which isn't my typical style. Having a king bed and a tv to fall asleep to wasn't too bad

Next year I'll be taking the monstrosity of a trailer to some primitive spots and get solitude.

+1 to the highlands suggestion. Highlands/Cashiers/Brevard area is awesome and where I like to go. I usually use a friends cabin or just Airbnb or vrbo something.

You try Blue Ridge GA? It's where we go a lot. Beautiful scenery. Lots of great dining options in town. The Toccoa River is fun to visit and/or tube/kayak. Plenty or great cabin options. I could link a few if interested.

Second on Highlands, as well as Cashiers NC too.

Google it. I just read last week about a place that’s opened up there for that.

What time of the year? It makes a real difference if it's winter which can be dreary and wet.

Will your fellow glampers (yuck) be satisfied walking (shudder) through rain or other wet falling from the sky as they walk through magnificent woods and wetlands?
