I go through Atlanta all the time, takes less than 30 minutes to get from rental car drop off to my gate. Same thing arriving. What more do yall want?

Agree. Atlanta works.
Orlando is the worst.
The Sky Lounge is like Disney.

Ok, I guess my rant wasn’t over. I just hate this place that much. Haha!

MCO gets my vote for worst airport and yet I continue to torture myself by flying out of there for the nonstops to the West Coast. The delta/southwest security area is by far the worst in the country. Gate areas cramped, check-in lines are terrible at 4am, the list goes on.

At a seminar in the airport Hyatt. Never left the airport or went outside except 20 minutes this morning on my balcony.
Haha!

Not a fan of Atlanta either but the Miami airport absolutely blows.

I hear a lot of complaints about JFK, ATL, O'Hare, Heathrow, etc... usually from people that don't travel much or hear that stuff on the movies/tv and want to sound cool.

There are some airports that suck and really suck. MCO is one, CLT ain't great, EWR is really frustrating at times (try getting a drink at rush hour friday), MSP ain't my favorite (too spread out), and the rental car walk in Frankfurt is shiddy, you have to walk a mile (kilometer?) through a tunnel that looks like a sewer.

I've been through ATL prob a dozen times and MCO prob three dozen...

I'll take MCO over ATL any day of the week. Of course I don't check a bag and have pre/clear.

The rental car convenience alone puts it over Atlanta. I don't have to ride a train, to ride a train, to get my rental car. Its a 5 min walk from the main terminal.

Going to MCO is not terrible.
Leaving is a nightmare.
I have clear/precheck also and in MCO it sucks. Because of the tiny area behind the guards.
And you have to ride a train. No way to leave the concourse without it.
I don’t rent a car in ATL so I can’t comment on that.

Unless you’re out of T at Harafueld, you have to too. Unless you’re going to walk that miserable tunnel.

Again, I’ll take MCO over ATL any day of the week.

Key word is “unless.” A or B concourse to baggage claim etc is a short walk unless someone is lazy or infirm. It’s a hike for sure from D or E.
MCO there is no alternative.

The tunnel is not miserable at all. Moving sidewalk with artwork. And not far.

Just checkin makes MCO the worst I’ve been to in the country.

Point of info: I only fly Delta so my experience in many many airports may be limited.

Yes, but the tram ride is less than a minute and you're never waiting longer than 30 seconds for one.

As someone who travels weekly and has been to a shite ton of airports, MCO isn't top tier, but isn't bottom tier either.

The times I've checked a bag there weren't an issue if you have status. Walk right up, give it to them, and off.

And if we're talking holistically, the area ATL is in makes it a terrible fricking airport. Can't stop anywhere within a few miles of it and feel safe pumping gas.

You leave MCO property and there are restaurants galore and you don't feel like you need a gun when you exit your car.

Security alone makes it the worst.

I can’t think of a major US airport I haven’t been to and can’t think of a worse one than MCO.
Tourists who act like they’ve never been on a plane.
More delays than any port I’ve been to other than maybe SLC in the winter.
Sky Club that’s too small and packed with kids.

Like I said, going there is not bad. And connecting there would be at least fine. Leaving there is the worst.

I don’t care that the tram comes quickly. It’s packed and I have no choice.

Won't fight you there... Its a cluster with all the kids, but thats a whole different story.

You must be doing it completely different than me. Can't think of a single time where i've been shoulder to shoulder in the MCO tram. Now on the ATL Tram, hell yeah.

One of the worst for me is one of my home airports, IAH. Airport has been shite for 4yrs with all the construction.

On the flip, love Hobby. So easy to get in an out of. I arrive 15m before boarding because of the ease.

Upon arrival Thursday and leaving yesterday. Haha!

True about the packed ATL tram. I don’t take it often unless it’s there and not packed or I am at E concourse.

Funny about IAH. I’m there 4-5 times/year and I really like it, but the Delta concourse is like a small town airport. The others I can’t speak of.

Haven’t been to Hobby in years because my Houston travel takes me north and west of IAH.

Cheers. I love talking airports. LOL.
