Online Passport Renewal Finally Available

I just mine this morning and had no issue.

We got expedited renewal for my 8 year old, passport came back in a little over two weeks. However, it's appointment only and the schedule was booked TWO MONTHS OUT. I figured it was a glitch and showed up with her anyway, and the salty dude assured me it was not a glitch, but processed us anyway. Fist bump to the burned out vet that let us slide...

Renewed mine to a lot of frustration. For some reason, it kept crashing when it said to upload a picture. Literally crashed every single time it went to hard drive. Closed it for the night and tried back the next day to success.

It's kind of a quirky system. I'm sure we all spent a few million dollars on whoever built it haphazardly. But glad they're finally allowing us to bypass the in person govt employee who is always happily doing their job with peak efficiency.

It has some limitations on who can/can't enroll. I did mine last week.

Your most recent passport is/was valid for 10 years, and you are age 25 or older.
Your recent passport was issued over 9 years (in 2013) but less than 15 years (in 2007) from the date you plan to submit your application. Your passport can be expired.

You can pay for your passport using a credit/debit card or an ACH (Automated Clearing House) payment transferring funds from your bank account.

You are aware that your most recent passport will be immediately invalidated (canceled) when you submit your application and you cannot use it for international travel.
