Nontrashy Vegas trip

I want to take a trip to Vegas with the wife but I don’t want to rub elbows with any of the poors from the OT.
Which 3 hotels will keep us away from those? Also, which has your favorite pool area? Suggestions on a nonseafood/Asian dinner spot? Breakfast spots? Quick lunches around Fremont? I would like to avoid any touristy trap eateries.
Thanks, I know this has been done over and over but didn’t see any threads in 2022.

Cosmo, Wynn/encore and Venetian easily top 3. Maybe aria as well.
Don’t go near Fremont if you want “non trashy”.

I’ve been leaning towards the Venetian and Wynn. And noted on Fremont.
I don’t want to sit at a casino all day but don’t want to drive out of the city to sight see.

We have been going to Vegas for 17 years and it is impossible to do "no-trashy" anymore. Out last few trips were at Aria and it's still trash everywhere. We probably won't ever go back. Vegas is not what it used to be.

The wife hasn’t ever been, so I kind of want to scratch it off her bucket list.
On a scale of trashiness how is it compared to NO lol?

Between the Cosmo and Venetian which has the best combo of Restaurant, pool, bars?

The Cosmo is younger and more hip. The Venetian/Palazzo is an older crowd in my experience. I also like the Aria CityCenter as you have planty of shops/restaurants and it isn't all centered around gambling.

Ok I’m look more into the Cosmo.
Does anyone have any tips on booking rooms/reservations at the hotel in order to get upgrades or comps?

Cosmo is part of the Marriott Autograph Collection so if you have status you can try for an upgrade or apply Suite Night Awards.
It's also a member of AmEx Fine Hotels and Resorts which gets you the following:
Room upgrade upon arrival, when available
Daily breakfast for two people
Guaranteed 4pm late check-out
Noon check-in, when available
Complimentary WI-FI
Experience credit, such as a spa or food and beverage credit

This is probably accurate. And because of the hipper atmosphere, the Cosmo attracts a bit more trashy young clubbers. Cosmo has an awesome food court, both hotels are probably similar for fine dining.

Yes Fremont street may be a little on the trashy side but it’s an absolute blast in my opinion.

It's borderline heresy to visit Vegas and not go to Fremont st. If your staying at the cosmo make sure to get a balcony overlooking the fountains

Agree. I went a few months ago for the first time in 10 years. Had a better time than I expected. For example, the Golden Gate has great blackjack, a hip vibe, and cute girls in lingerie dealing and dancing.
Cosmo is a great hotel. I like the atmosphere. Be sure to sign up for their players club. They’re already sending me offers.

Went in January. Stayed at Bellagio. Really enjoyed it.
Walked around many other casinos. These days you will find a VARIETY of folks walking the strip/casinos.
The Cosmo looks like a fun place. Younger age group. May stay there next time if I go back.
The Resort World is a monster resort off the strip but it is HUGE.
I am partial to staying on the strip because I enjoyed walking around everywhere. Also took a ride to Freemont - not sure if I would want to stay down there though.
Food wise I went to the following and would go again:
Egg Slut at Cosmo is a must. It's a walk up breakfast spot and it's delicious.
SugarCane and Yardbird at Venetian are both very good.
If you want Asian, check out Kumi at Mandalay Bay. I enjoyed that too.

If you really want to isolate yourself from the masses stay at the Four Seasons. I don’t like the location and it does not have a casino but it is a first class hotel. I have never stayed there but I have been there.
I have stayed at Caesar’s Palace many times including last September. They have a fantastic pool area and several top notch restaurants including The Palm Steakhouse.
I also enjoy staying at the Venetian. They have the nicest rooms.

I want to stay on the strip and I think I’ve settled on the Cosmo. I mainly didn’t want to be in a crappy hotel with trash balls of all kind.
I think this will be my plans:
Day 1
Arrive around noon
Go get lunch
Check in/clean up/get situated
Visit Fremont for cheap booze and a a slice from Evil Pie
Go eat at Superfrico or any unique place on the strip
Gamble and drink
Day 2
Egg Slut
Pool
Nap
Walk around shops
Dinner at Superfrico or unique place depending on first night
Gamble and drink

Whatever you do, do not walk on Las Vegas Blvd if you want to avoid trashy.

I'm not sure how early this puts you at Fremont, but it needs to be nighttime when you go there. I also believe everyone should see Vegas from up high. Stop at the Stratosphere on the way to Fremont and have a drink at 107 Lounge. The casino is crap, but the bar is nice. Try to go to see the sunset. There's other places to go for the views, but this is convenient on the way to Fremont.
It's close, so make sure you walk over to see the Bellagio fountains at night and see the conservatory there as well. Those things are so iconic that your wife really should see them.
