I don’t know if it depends on where you live, but wife sent her passport in for a renewal and name change and we got it back in about 4 weeks. Sent out on 7/23 and came back yesterday 8/13.

Pre-Covid, I also used them and received the passport next day.

I’m usually a cynic on this stuff. With Covid madness are we screwed? Going to Grenada. Anyone familiar with getting a passport within like 4 weeks?

You need to expect to not have that passport on time.

Will pay whatever to guarantee we get it.
Price has nothing to do with it. The US State Department is still in Phase 2 Covid lockdown. Passport processing offices are operating with skeleton crews.

Expedited service is indeed running 12-14 weeks (officially). Unofficially, it’s about 10 weeks.

There are zero, and I repeat, Zero walk-in 24 hr turn around appointments.

Looks like you will be taking a trip sans the wife, boys night out. Find a good friend or family to take with you.

I mailed mine off for renewal on 7/18 and got it back yesterday. I did pay for expedited processing but certainly wasn’t expecting to get it back this soon.

Update. Contacted Kennedy’s office. Eight days later we have the passport. Pretty unreal and I can’t believe this actually worked. Kudos on them.

How would you now suggest the OP handle the situation with other person he invited to go at your advice?
