Yea or nay? Always stayed on Okaloosa Island -- figure different isn't bad but figured I'd ask here first.

Miramar Beach is very nice. It's gotten more crowded over the last ten years, but it's still a premiere beachfront on the Gulf Coast. Emeril has a place there and just opened a new restaurant.

We used to stay at a condo called Windancer. If you drew a line from the outlet mall straight to the beach it would be right there. Practically at the intersection of 98 & Scenic 98 It's only like 4 floors so the beach isn't as crowded. We loved it there. Winn Dixie very close by so you don't have to fight that god forsaken Walmart crowd for your supplies.

It's a great location. Not isolated and can get congested, but the beach , food options and other entertainment are all close by and abundant.

We stay at sandestin resort which is technically Miramar. Everything we need is within the resort so we don't have to mess with traffic

I like the Hilton at San Destin and the free shuttles to run you all over is a huge plus.
Damn place is expensive though. We stayed four nights last year. If I wouldn’t have been able to use points, that shite would have cost over $1600.

Miramar Beach is where my mom and stepfather host the annual "grandparents-funded" beach week. About 12 of us total, usually a 4 bedroom condo at Huntington by the Sea or a house in Shipwatch, both almost due south of the outlet mall.

Both are smaller scale developments so the beach is less crowded than areas with really tall condo towers. Less expensive than Sandestin, Seaside or the rest of 30-A, but relatively close to those if you want to visit the 30-A area for dinner, shopping, sightseeing, etc.

Their beach is fantastic. Also, lots of fun rentals just down the road on 'old' 98(parasails, sailboats, YOLO boards, etc.)

This is where I go. My grandparents own a condo there. Right on the beach. Right across from the outlet mall. Which has every store you would want.

Also, Louisiana Lagniappe, The Back Porch, Dewey Destin.

Wife and I had lunch today here in Frisco, TX with some ex-neighbors that bought a house in Miramar Beach. They love it there.
