Memorial Day Travel Plans Thread: Tropical Storm Alberto Headed To Gulf

Where's everyone off to this year? I'm headed to Philly, Jersey and NYC for a nice long weekend with friends and family. I'll try to keep this thread updated, but for those of you headed to the gulf, be warned of a potential tropical storm. The weather tracking thread over on the OT will be more informative and filled with PeeJ forecasts so that's to be much more accurate

Staying local this year. May go to the beach if the weather permits.

Saturday's supposed to be a decent beach day in Jersey and NYC, hopefully boston is similar. Could head to newburyport for a fun day? Italy sounds great right about now...

Newburyport/Plum Island is our go-to spot. Beautiful sands right on the ocean and maybe a 35 minute drive from the house. And Newburyport itself has some great restaurants for a town it’s size.
We’ll be in Italy in late September/early October so have a little ways to go, but now that the flights are booked the fun of planning begins.
