Not really. Southernmost Beach Resort or Waldorf have small, nice beaches with chairs and service.

Very few choices. Beaches and Key West are like roads and Venice Italy.

There are really only two, both Hilton branded. Casa Marina is a Waldorf and is fairly large, and The Reach is a Curio and more intimate (and a little less expensive).

I stayed at The Reach two years ago and really liked it. It's away from the craziness on the north end of town, but it's still just a block from Duval and an easy walk to restaurants and attractions. It's also just a block from the free Duval Loop bus that goes around the tourist areas.

If you stay at Casa Marina, you really have to take a cab to go anywhere off the resort. The flip side of that is it's a big resort and you may not want to leave much.

We just got back from a stay at the Casa Marina. Would NOT recommend. The beach and pool areas are nice, but the rooms were extremely disappointing. Very old and not very well taken care, paint chipping on the doors, a dead roach in the bathroom, elevators and ice machines didn't work, stairwells were dark and gross. I was shocked at the conditions vs how much money I paid to be there.

If you’re going to Key West primarily for beaches then you’re going to be disappointed and honestly should probably go elsewhere. Key West is great for a lot of things but beaches are not one of those things.

I’ll continue to say this, the only reason to go to Key West, is to say you’ve been. You can get the same shite in Key Largo, if not better.

Sorry that you had a bad experience. I think that a lot of people besides myself would profoundly disagree.

And to the previous poster: the beach at The Reach was very nice. Key West is not a place to visit for a beach vacation, but it was great to mix some beach time with a lot of the food, history, and culture.

When we go back, we will 100% be staying in Islamorada instead of Key West.

Southernmost Resort was fantastic. Great pool with service. Also you are right next to some great spots to eat. Can’t recommend it enough. Only negative was our room was a bit dated but we weren’t in it much

Key west is best for eating and drinking, the other islands are best for water activists. You want to haul your boat down, rent a boat, or hire a captain to get the most out of the keys that is not eating and drinking

Look up the Hidden Beach condo units on AirBnb. My wife and I had a fantastic stay here. The unit is right on the water with its own small private beach. You also get access to The Reach resort next door which has a beach and pool as well as other amenities. It's probably the closet thing you will find to a place to stay on the beach on Key West. Easy walking distance to Duval St.

I'm linking one below but I believe they have numerous units available to rent there with different lay outs.

I like Casa Marina. We don’t find it too far to walk everywhere. It’s old but classic IMO. We are Diamond status with Hilton so we always use points. Might be different if we paid $ I guess.

Look into the Pier House, nice private beach and a great bar in the evening

This!!

We had a great time there earlier this year it was an absolute blast, but beaches had nothing to do with that fun.

Now you could always go to Dry Tortuga for the day THAT has wonderful beaches...
