Headed to Idaho Falls, ID next week, and looking for any recommendations for places to go for good food, and drinks. It's a bit of a long shot...but has anyone here been there and found a place I need to visit?

Stopped and ate at a brewery there right by the falls, on a drive from Salt Lake City to Yellowstone a few years ago. It was decent enough, but nothing noteworthily memorable. From what I could generally gather, that would probably be most everything there.
Walked around the little falls area for a bit after lunch, got back in the car, and headed out.
This was it: Snow Eagle Brewing
I do actually recall they fries being really good (it's Idaho, of course), in looking at the pics online.

I was just in Idaho for a week and spent the 4th in Idaho Falls. The food in Idaho is what you would expect, very very meh.
We ate at Snow Eagle and the fries were good, the beer i had was awful, and the rest of the food was just meh.
Manwaring had good gelato.

Thanks. I've only been to Cour d'Alene, and that was 25 years ago or so...I used to drink Kokanee when I was there...it was ok, compared to the other options...

it's mostly chain restaurants, absolutely nothing worth recommending

Idaho Falls is culinarily unimpressive, but be sure to eat the nation’s second best potato that is grown there locally. The Snake River Plain is the nation’s leading potato producer, and second for yield per acre and quality behind Washington’s Columbia Basin.
Sadly the best food options anywhere in the area are on the slopes of the Tetons.

The most memorable meal I had in Idaho falls was a Mexican restaurant (Jaliscos), so that ain’t saying much.

I lived in Idaho Falls for a year.
Snakebite is good for what it is.
That’s about it.
