When you travel do you dress like the locals are wear your LSU gear to attract attention?

I ask mostly for security reasons. Seems like a good ideal when traveling say in Europe not to LOOK like a tourist.

I usually wear a T-Shirt, shorts, flip-flops, and a baseball cap.... nothing really changes with where I'm going.

Please don't do the Baton Rouge special I always see every time I fly out of BR after a visit there and wear LSU gear head to toe like you are going tailgating instead of boarding a plane. Just makes you look ridiculous.

My better half and I, with four LSU degrees between us, make a game out of spotting the LSU logo abroad. We are batting a thousand for our trips out of the country for the past decade: LSU logos spotted everywhere from Orvieto to Munich to Salzburg to Paris and all points in between, I never seem to see any other SEC gear, just the loud purple and gold. Can’t say that I’ve ever worn LSU gear on a trip....

I've yet to see LSU gear in SE Asia but I'm on the hunt.

Maybe I'll wear my hat in October.

To OP, I try to dress like jeans Friday at work or business casual. Ever since I don't have to do security theater I dress a little better knowing I'm not going to have to strip.

Nothing wrong with wearing ONE article of clothing or a hat with LSU on it.

I'm talking about the dorks that wear head to toe LSU gear.

Some Indians spotted my LSU sticker in NH on the highway and waived me down right before we crushed Virginia Tech. They had done grad school there.

But in actual India I didn't see any LSU apparel.

I can honestly say outside of gameday or maybe a college kid running to Taco Bell, I’ve never seen this even in BR. Most folks might have a polo or T-shirt on

Youre going to no matter what you do so that shouldnt be your goal. But, there is a difference between wearing white reeboks with jeans and a Disney World T-shirt and at least trying to mesh somewhat with their styles.

I usually try to dress practical rather than make a fashion statement. Depending on where I am in europe I usually dress in layers so jeans with some sort of button up shirt then a vest, fleece or jacket/rain jacket. My shoes are usually dictated by weather. If rain is likely I usually wear merrel hiking shoes and if not I wear some sort of casual canvas loafer. I don't really wear sneakers unless I am actually running over there.

Usually, wear a t-shirt, pants, tennis shoes. Although, some trips I've done the sports-team zip jacket, track pants, and tennis shoes (I'm guilty once in a while and that's mostly when flying)

I wear a pair of joggers and a t-shirt. Both comfortable.
