Going to be in Napa for 2 days and Lake Tahoe for 2 days in late October. Looking for recommendations on where to stay in each. Looking for Napa hotel with a spa. Less important in Tahoe. Any suggestions?

Hyatt North Lake Tahoe is what you seek in Tahoe. It has a good spa.

For Napa, rent a house in Sonoma instead.

We have stayed at the Harvest Inn in Napa and Edgewood at Tahoe. Edgewood has a very nice spa.

I can second a vote for Harvest Inn.
I got nothing for Tahoe.

Stayed at the Sunnyside hotel in Tahoe City in early August. Rooms are ok but great lake views from most rooms. Fun restaurant and bar in the lobby with deck facing the lake. Also can rent a boat from the adjacent marina.
