Looking for a place to stay for a concert down there. The Hyatt is too pricy the day of the concert.

Looks like Le Pavillon, Virgin, and NOPSI are all nice, close by, and $2-300 for the night.

Which would you pick, or something else?

I generally do Le Pav. Pretty decent hotel at decent prices right by SKC.

the new place where borgne used to be looks pretty good. Otherwise there’s tons of options close to rouses. Go to Willa Jean for breakfast the next day

If you want something close by, go eat at copper vine. Close by and very good.

My favorite place to eat before nighttime events around there is the pizza and wine happy hour from 3-5 at Domenica in the Roosevelt.

Other than that, the Copper Vine is good and is closer.

LePavillion is a good choice.

I would have picked Hyatt House. The Pavillion rooms are too small and I got fussed at by a security guard when I picked up a peanut sandwich 10 minutes early. They take peanut butter way too seriously there.

NOPSI has a nice rooftop bar and is pretty new.

You can do much better than Copper Wine for dinner. Shoot even Johnny Sanchez is just as close and better.

I see you already booked, but would say the Virgin is the best location of all those for the dome and especially for smoothie kind center. NOPSI is kind of in a dead zone of the CBD.

Forbidden pizza just opened next to the Virgin and is great if you want a New York style slice or two.

Devil moon bbq is . . . fine and attached to a brewery. The location for arena events is terrific.

Rizzuto’s just took over the restaurant space in the Hyatt and is a very good classic Italian chop house. Nothing closer to the arena that this restaurant.
