Going to a concert at the Moody Center in June. Looking for a good hotel that's got good food, entertainment, etc choices and not too far from the venue. Thks

The W and JW would both be good - both are walking distance to all kinds of food/entertainment and only a 9 minute ride to Moody Center.

Yes, South Congress is only about 5 minutes from the hotel and has all kinds of shopping, and has more food options...

As mentioned, JW is great as an established hotel. For a newer trendier option, check out Hotel Van Zandt near Rainey. They're running good rates due to being new and construction in the area if you don't mind that - assuming the concert is on the weekend, I doubt they'll be doing much work.

Crazy how much is going on right now on Rainey. it was a shitshow for SXSW. That said, did enjoy hanging out for a while at Bangers...

We stayed at the W in February and they were doing a ton of construction that didn’t look to be completely any time soon. Was totally fine but just to be aware of.

One of the best hotel gyms I’ve ever been to

The Omni downtown is nice and is 1.3 miles from the Moody.

I went to the Maiden concert at Moody a year & a half ago & stayed at the Hyatt House. It is a few blocks from Stubbs BBQ & some other good restaurants & bars. You can walk to Moody from it. It’s perfect for a show there

The Driskill is my go to hotel in Austin. I’m a big fan of their bar in the lobby.
