Check out the extra magic hours schedule and plan your parks accordingly.

I looked at the magic hour schedule for the first half of July.

Hollywood Studios has magic hours every morning. It nothing at night (I guess since TSL is geared toward kids). As for the other parks, there is very little magic hours, maybe an hour here and there, but no 2am magic hour.

Go to Epcot while everyone else is resting. Enjoy a few beers/drinks from the various countries and take your time wandering the park.

Oof, just be prepared to test your patience. Lots of people there using the 4th holiday sliding into that weekend. Parks can hit capacity around then.

Hit rides during parades and fireworks, really abuse the rides when it gets closer to closing and keep riding them til they force you out. You can hit a lot of popular rides with barely any wait in the back part of the parks when people start heading to the front to leave.

A good hint, as long as you are in line at closing time, you will get to ride, unless the line is 3 hours long like Flight. They will close the stand by line an hour before closing if the standby is long.

You didn't say if you have quick dining or table service, do you know yet?

If quick service, I have some great recs. Places where two adults can get full on one meal.

Peco Bill's near Big Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain has a loaded nachos that feeds two easily. They give you the chips, meat, and cheese sauce, you go to the taco/nacho bar and build your own. it is open late. A quick service meal comes with a drink and dessert.

The lobster roll is also a great meal in MK. Its a good size sandwich, loaded with lobster salad. Google it, I forget the name, but its near Peco Bill's (I googled it, its called Columbia Harbour House.

There is all kinds of great quick service meals in EPCOT.

You said you are staying at Orleans. Their restaurant is pretty good, especially the pasta.

If you have table service, you can change them to quick service. I think one table service equals two quick service meals.

I know one quick service meal equals three snacks. Our last day there last year, we had 27 quick service meals left. We got 81 snacks (pre-packaged) at the candy store on Main Street, MK. We brought them home as souvenirs for friends, snacks for the kids all summer long, etc.

Here are your magic hours for July 5th, 6th, & 7th

July 5th
EPCOT 8am to 9am
Hollywood Studios 7am to 8am

July 6th
Magic Kingdom 8am to 9am
Hollywood Studios 7am to 8am & 10:30 pm to 12:30am

July 7th
Animal Kingdom 8am to 9am
Hollywood Studios 7am to 8am

What is your schedule? Are you landing on the 5th and flying out the 7th, or are you coming in on the 4th and flying out the 8th?

I really like the shows and parades personally, especially when it's busy. They are well done and a great way to relax at known times. Many of them you can have a beer or snack while they are going also. You know the showtimes ahead of time and while I haven't been in summer in a long time but if you get there 5 minutes early anytime I've been you can get a decent enough seat.

The only show to really plan to arrive early is Fantasia or whatever it is the end of the night at Hollywood studios. Ha, the more I think about it the more I remember the show at the end of the night at Animal kingdom you needed to get there early for good seats too but I'd probably skip that for Magic Kingdom.

For 3 days, I'd agree to go to a park in the morning and afternoon and end 2 nights at Magic Kingdom.

Some may poo poo the shows, but I just like to sit down with a beer and not have to wait in a damn line for awhile lol. And again they are well done.

You have fastpasses but have you booked them? What about dinners? Reservations are hard to get and will be gone for the most popular restaurants but I would start figuring out where you want to eat and get reservations now. Waiting until the day of and deciding on a place can mean a ridiculous wait or everyone ends up eating a nasty quick service burger and being disappointed.

I would go early and then back to the resort to cool off and use the pool. Then head back once it begins cooling off. Hopefully the parks extend their hours, they usually announce that as you get closer to the 30 day mark.

Just keep in mind with the Magic hours that everyone staying on site will be using those to ride the big rides. If you have a large party, I wouldn't try and bust it to be the first person to ride something. Others will do the same and you'll get there with a 30-45 min wait on the really big stuff until it calms down after the initial rush.

The best thing to do with Magic hours is to ride the 2nd tier rides. They are empty, everyone is rushing and waiting for the big stuff while you have 0 wait for 30-60 min rides later in the day. You can knock out 4-5 rides easily that first hour that way.

Bad advice. HE is only there for 3 days. Hit the pool or Disney Springs the first night. Ironman the parks for three days. Hell, me and my family Ironman'ed the parks for 6 days, and I am fat and lazy.

I don't get hanging at the pool after dropping this much money.

Good places to rest up in Magic Kingdom, Haunted Mansion, Arial's ride, and (it sucks but nice and cool) It's a Small World.

If you get there early enough on the 4th, go to Universal Studios (about a $20 Uber ride). A pass is $120 but the rides are amazing.

Universal has City Walk, kind of like Disney Springs, but I think its better (its free like Disney Springs)

Actually, Touring Plans which has the best crowd calendar only predicts those days will be 5-7 out of 10 level crowds which isn't bad. Summer crowds aren't as bad as they used to be. People are too fat to handle the heat.

Depends on the family, he obviously isn't going with any kids of his own. So yeah hanging out by the pool isn't a great idea.

Lots of families could use breaks, you don't need to try and do everything nonstop. Plan better and come back another time if you need to, sounds like you go a bunch. It's awful to watch some of these families bicker and fight instead of going rest up for a few hours and enjoy the park more. The money thing is weak sauce, if it is that big of burden on you, you should rethink your priorities. Not so applicable in this situation since he is kidless.

I am just saying what I would do. I can't deal with the heat. I realize it is only 3 days and Disney isn't cheap but he already said he wasn't footing the bill. I couldn't stay in the parks all day in July. That's me though. And I doubt many kids can. Just an idea, not sure it is bad advice but ok...

The heat is really only bad to me if you're standing in line in direct sunlight. Most of the line queues are shaded though, from what I remember. Many are even inside in the A/C. The heat doesn't really bother me if I'm moving around. Just wear comfortable, lightweight clothes. What does suck is the heat after one of the proverbial, afternoon Florida thunderstorms. Especially crowded around a bunch of sweaty, stinky people.

Everyone is different though.
