My family of 4 has an aggregate credit if $500 with United. Must be used by 12/31 of this year. Looking for some ideas as I seem to fall back on the same old places.
Our summer travel schedule is full so the next travel window we have would be Thanksgiving or Christmas.
We have 2 kids, 11 and 12. We travel quite a bit so we are open to anything. Considering flying to DEN or SLC and do some skiing but not completely sold on it.
In the last couple of years we've already hit:
NYC
Chicago
Yellowstone
San Antonio
Ireland
Phoenix/Sedona
Looking for some other options. Could even go international. Thanks

Portland, ME or Boston and drive to New Hampshire/Maine.

We are in the same boat. Credits are from a corona cancellation of San Diego so thinking of heading there or possibly Colorado. Looking at the same time frame as yours as well.

I'd bet you could call them and they would extend it if you need.

if you are interested in skiing but don't want the entire trip to revolve around that-
We flew into Montreal rented a car drove to Stowe Mountain Resort, Vermont went skiing for a couple days. Then drove back to Montreal for a couple of days. The drive is only about 2 hours 15 minutes, and it is really pretty for someone who lives in Louisiana.

I'm not sure what dumb arse down voted this, but it was an awesome trip in the fall. I was blown away.

I had flight credits and booked my wife and I a trip to Tahoe in July. I was considering Charleston, savannah, and San Diego. Everybody I’ve talked to said we made the right decision. I’m very much looking forward to this trip.

Doing the same with Delta credits from an early plandemic trip we had scheduled to Oahu. Looks like they’re just crediting the amount paid against whatever the new tickets cost—not just turning those credits into straight tickets. Whatever, yeah, we’re gonna try to burn up that credit this summer.

I would not recommend a ski trip to CO at Thanksgiving. We did that last year and there wasn’t enough snow to really ski.
With kids those ages, a trip to Washington DC could be fun and educational.

United just extended credits through '23 a day or two ago. You may have a different kind of credit, but double check your expiration date so you don't have to limit yourself.
