Where are you staying? Which restaurants have you been to and liked/disliked here before? Can make suggestions from there.

Have the idea as a possibility to make a trip to Ship Island possibly? Is the water and everything out there worth it if we do make it?

Much better water out there. It's shallow and calm on the North side, which is where the ferries will dock. You can walk down a ways and get away from most people though. Water is usually nice and clear, as long as we haven't had a ton of rain. Should be pretty good right now. On the South side, there's more wave action and you can rent chairs, etc. Just be careful as there have been too many drownings out there over the years.

We usually take the boat out there, but take the ferry about once a year for various reasons and have always enjoyed it. Buy tickets ahead of time for a summer saturday!

Ship Island on the south side is nice. On certain weather days you can see the green color of the surf.

We enjoy the North side, so my now 4 yr old can play in the water easier.

A couple pics from the North side of Ship last summer. Water was nice that day

not sure if you have kids, or what you and who you are going with are interested in but the new marine life in gulfport is fun. Me and the wife really enjoyed it. Kids would freaking love it.

If you’re into breweries I’d recommend Chandeleur Brewing in Gulfport. Ive been twice and enjoyed it. I haven’t made it to Biloxi Brewing but I intend to pop in next time I’m there in two weeks.

$32 a Head

For $32 a head, I'll drive the extra half hour to P'cola Beach.

There's a new high speed go cart track called Finishline Performance Karting. You could go to a Shuckers baseball game.

Banh Mi from Le Bakery in Biloxi is a must do, the French cold cut one is amazing.

Could go fishing with Shore Thing charters.

Could come over to BSL and do brunch, Sycamore House, then a little theatre play. BSLLT.org

We were thinking of making a quick getaway for a day and night to Biloxi to change it up from NewO. Only thing I know to do there though is the Jeff Davis house and gamble. Anything worth looking into besides those and the brewery?

I usually don't leave BSL for entertainment, so I'm not sure. The Ohr-O'Keefe museum looks interesting.

Have been to the Ohr-OKeefe museum and it’s pretty solid.

Shuckers games are great. I really enjoy an evening game there.

Ship Island and the Maritime and Seafood Industry Museum if you like coast history. Gulfport is building a big aquarium but it won't be open till late next year.

You’re right. It’s much quieter and more enjoyable to me, without the Destin crowds. So, please stay away.

Yeah, you have your places confused or something. Closer to an hour.
