Wife and I are going in September during week just for a quick getaway. Better pool, hotel etc? I have stayed at Beau, never at Golden Nugget. GN pool looks nice. Thanks

Haven't been to Golden Nugget but have stayed at Beau Rivage twice and loved it!

Don’t go to a casino, rent a house in BSL instead. It’s cooler on this side anyway.

The Beau is more swanky but the Nugget has been remodeled too. Very nice . You will have more fun at the Nugget than the Beau though

The Beau is the nicest casino on the coast, and it's not even close. Plus, the Beau has an awesome sports book. I'd definitely stay there.

Definitely vote for the Beau in this battle. It is our favorite stop on the way to/from Florida.

I agree the casino and hotel is nice, but how about the pool scene. The Beau is kind of lame

Nicest casino, but the Beau’s hotel rooms haven’t been updated in awhile. They need to at least change out that old musty carpet. If you get a room that used to be smoking you can notice it. It’s gross

Scarlet Pearl and the Nugget has surpassed the Beau as far as hotels go. Nugget has way better pool scene too

A fricking Biloxi casino or a cool arse house with a pool inside...let me see.

The.frick is people who can actually entertain themselves without having to be fed it from a trough.

Y’all do y’all though.

I guess I should change my stance, MS casinos are great, y’all come fill up on buffets and while away your time inside giving our shitty school system your money.

Why put thought into something when you can just mindlessly piss-pool it with the rest of ‘em?

GN pool is nicer. Beau usually has a lot more kids. GN has a roped off area that kids can’t go past with a swim up bar and a few blackjack and 3 card poker tables.

Not at all, and I think you could get a much nicer place if you don’t want a private pool...probably with that too if you cared to look. I just linked that one to start the conversation. Kicking around a little town like BSL or Ocean Springs, or Fairhope for a couple days, from a private rental, is a better way to experience the coast...if you’re not going farther east to the beach.

The Bay Town Inn would be good in BSL if needed a pool.

It’s a wedding/birthday venue...that’s what I’ve been there for anyway. Giant kitchen was a little funky, but shite...for a couple days I’d have Syc House pizza boxes all around that thing.

I thought the OP raised a good question and most everyone responded in kind.
Heaven forbid if I want to get away for a night or two with my wife to sit and drink by the pool, do some gambling, and maybe order room service or something.

Btw, I haven't eaten at a casino buffet in 15 years.
