Anyone know how long it's taking lately to get Global Entry renewed? I figured it would be quick since it's a renewal, but maybe I was wrong.

I applied online (renewal) on a Sunday afternoon, had my new number before lunch on Monday, and got my card in the mail on Thursday. This was in August 2023, IIRC

My renewal application has been pending since December. As in December 2022.
Got this message:
Due to a significant increase in application volume, we are extending the grace period to allow you continued full benefits while U.S. Customs and Border Protection is finalizing your renewal application.
Showed paid. Provisional. I've travelled twice internationally and had no problems. Last time was the end of November 2023.
Your post prompted me to check back. Looks like it's approved. Got no notice of that BTW. No card yet either.

It took 1.5 years for me to actually get my new card.
That said, since I applied for renewal before it expired, they rolled over my old GE. Like others, I travelled internationally with no issues.

I applied for renewal and got an appointment date in New Orleans that was 2 months away. Week before appointment I was approved via e-mail. Card took another 2 weeks to arrive in the mail. Started the application online in July 23.
My cousin applied about a month later than me, and he also was given an appointment date for 2 months later. In his case he was approved the very next week and got the card about a week after that.
Seems that personal results all over the place.

How long does it take to get your card or be done or whatever after the interview?
My interview is in March and we are going on a cruise in September.

Took me 5 business days for everything to process and get the card in the mail. Maybe a month ago now I did this

Do you have to interview again to get it renewed?

No, so no idea what he's talking about...
You simply go on the website, apply for renewal, and wait.

Depends. I did for my first renewal (pre-Covid) but not for my second renewal.

Mines been pending since November. You can use the old card for two years as long as you apply for renewal before current expiration.

Took maybe 24 hours to update for me

Ya my wife and I didn't have to for our renewal but that was during COVID so that may have been it.
My 5 year old son has to interview for his renewal. Pretty sure he's become a domestic terrorist threat in the intervening years, but mostly against his parents.

I let mine lapse a year. Filled out renewal info online, did a zoom interview and had card in a week.

To provide an update.
Checked my son's account to double check interview time for his renewal interview. Apparently 10 days ago they just approved him without. Saved me trip to the airport.

July 23 here and very similar. I think a day or two for it to process.

Just adding...did not have to interview for my first renewal, but had to come in for my second renewal. It was 5 minutes in, just a pain to take time to do it.
But after the interview, within a few business days had everything.
