Shocker this story hasn’t gained much national attention

Even though the couple is asymptomatic and were negative tested before the cruise .

If they are vaccinated and asymptomatic it shouldn't be a story.

This will be normal going forward.

But if the boat sunk, all the death certificates will read covid as cause of death.

Will they be allowed back into the US?

Never should have been a story through the “pandemic.” Since when do we test healthy people and call it an illness?

It's like when several vaxxed NY Yankees tested positive but had zero symptoms. That's the beauty of the vax. You might still get it, but it won't be a big deal.

The vaccines are only about 95% effective at preventing infection. It's not surprising in the slightest that, on a big ship with lots of passengers, a couple would test positive. The good news is that there won't be an outbreak, as vaccinated people who contract COVID are usually asymptomatic and have low viral loads and don't infect others.

So, this is what's supposed to happen.

Unfortunately, I don't think so with the way the system is set up now. They should have dropped testing for vaccinated people months ago to return to US. Prior recovered don't have to test. It makes no sense.

But if you fail a test, are you allowed back home or do you have to quarantine?

I received the vaccine and want to travel out of the country for work and/or pleasure. A test is still required to get back in US. What if I test positive? I’m stuck in a foreign country for 10-14 days?

Sure, a couple of vaccinated people can get it.

But they are doing fine, and if just about everyone else on board is vaccinated, the odds of an outbreak become very, very, very low.

You're stuck until you test negative.

Also, for those of you wondering. Don't PCR before coming back. Always antigen.
