Cool lobby but the rooms are nothing special at all.. just a random arse Hilton garden inn outdated room with Arkansas decorations

My AC was pitiful .

My first time in Fayetteville , it was a really neat place.

I’d drive that extra 30 ish minutes and stay in Texarkana just to get outta Shreveport … that stretch of 49 hardly had any traffic and the speed limits 75 you can hammer down

There are some nice hikes such as Devils Den state park if that interests you
Downtown Fayetteville is very walkable and nice with lots of shops, restaurants and coffee shops. Dickson st is popular on game weekends with several places to eat and drink before the game. The tailgate scene is just ok.

Crystal Bridges and the Bentonville area is worth a visit, great biking trails if that’s your thing

Hugo's is close to the Graduate and is the "classic" Fayetteville Restaurant. It's crazy busy on game weekends, though, but they have a good wait system (put your name in and can see where you are on the list via phone and will text when table is ready). Can go next door to Pinpoint, which is a bar with pinball machines and wait on table. Other nearby bars to check out while waiting, if pinball isn't your jam, are Maxine's and the Vault.

City Park is a lot of fun, but it's a little weather-dependent since it's mainly outside (but they do put up cloth walls and heaters once they switch to winter mode). Crisis Brewing is great, and you can order Penguin Ed's BBQ while there by scanning a QR code on the pickup table, and they'll bring it up to you at the brewery. Moff's Pizza will also have a brick and mortar by then in the Puritan Building area off Dickson, which is fantastic. The Meteor and Taco and Tamale company are both down in the Southtown/Mill district next to the Moxy. The Meteor has excellent breakfast tacos (amongst other solid breakfast offerings), but it also has good pizza by the slice, burgers, etc..

Pizzeria Ruby is probably one of my favorite restaurants in the area, but it's actually out in Johnson and is probably a little further afield than you'll want to go if you're wanting the classic downtown Fayetteville experience. If you' were going to head out to Johnson, then you also have to choose between Wright's BBQ and PIzzeria Ruby, which is a difficult decision.

Recommend pushing to Hot Springs if you can day one, stay at Oaklawn. Makes for a much better day 2.

I’d honestly prefer to stay in Bentonville or Rogers, and definitely recommend Bentonville first for things to do (Crystal Bridges, Momentary, Downtown Bentonville bars and restaurants, great trails everywhere.) Rent a mountain bike in Bentonville and just explore (even paved trails)

That’s a shame. I’ve heard of some folks having bad experiences there, but we go at least once a month and haven’t ever been disappointed. And yes, chef is extremely… outspoken.
