Driving to Grand Canyon in the snow tomorrow?

Was planning on driving to the South Rim tomorrow morning, but the forecast is calling for snow. Rental car is a regular sedan and I'm from New Orleans. Will it be safe to drive up there? Was going to leave Flagstaff at about 6am

Not a lot of elevation change from Flagstaff to the South Rim and I assume they would keep the road plowed. You should be fine. Hopefully the car is front wheel drive.

I would take I-40 west to highway 64 if you're worried. Highway 64 is flat fields all the way from I-40 to Tusayan.
You can take US 180 but it's a little hillier and there's more turns through the hills and the woods. It might be tougher if it's a bad snow but probably no problem in a light snow.

I've driven there from Scottsdale when it was snowing and had no issues at all. You should be fine.

My wife, from Alabama, drove all over Salt lake City and Park City in a damn near blizzard with my son and niece. They maintain those roads way better than we do here. It's not the same. You should be fine.

Let's see some of those canyon dusted in snow pics.

Based on how people from Louisiana drive in the snow I’ll go with no way you should drive this
