Would be nice to take a Disney cruise and not have to travel to Florida or even Galveston. Wished it was one of the newer ships. Interested to see the length of the cruises and the ports scheduled.

The Mardi Gras week cruises will be popular.

I will be on the Wonder in 3 months that will make all for ships for me.

IMO the classic ships are better than the newer ones. Much less people and the service is more personal found the food to be cooked better to order. A med rare steak order always came ouout perfect on the Magic.

Just me and the wife, Id prefer the classic ships but if we have our daughter I'd prefer the Dream class.

This is a trial run, I promise you.

DCL has new boats coming in 2021, 2022, and 2023. Right now the Fantasy and Dream only homeport in Port C, while the Winder and Magic roam about. The 2021 boat and likely the 2022 boat are both going to Port C... so likely you will have 4 boats on the rotation.

I don't know if DCL would ever do a year round boat in NOLA, but I could easily see an annual 5-6 month season from here down the road - maybe as soon as 2021.

Yea, of course. They are already working on 2021 and beyond so while the time in NOLA will be exploratory in nature there is more coming for NOLA than just what was announced today.

For NOLA to be a 365 port for DCL, DCL would want their own terminal. Their departure dates for what has been announced allows for some flexibility with sharing the terminal with other lines but I don't see any way they commit to a ship here for 9+ months a year unless they have their own terminal.

I think it's pretty accepted that the three new ships will all permanently be based in South Florida. The two classic ships will likely rotate between Europe, Greece, Italy, middle east, gulf coast, smaller US ports, etc. but what will be interesting to me is what they do with the Dream and Fantasy. I think putting one full time on the west coast is almost a no-brainer....maybe not the same ship out there all year but at least one of the two (dream/fantasy)

On the Magic I found the kids club to be the same size as Dream and Fantasy but way less kids.

I wish the classic ships had the whole every disney movie on demand thing in cabin and the detective game though. The aquacoaster is fairly lame imo.

We have done the wonder twice and the magic once. Been wanting to try one is the bigger ships to compare.

Anybody know when prices will be online for the above cruises?

For those interested in booking I suggest booking the itinerary you're interested in as soon as your booking window opens...the deposit is fully refundable and with the cruise pricing structure now the itinerary will never be as cheap as it is the day it opens to the public.

With three of the 6 itineraries sailing from NOLA hovering around Mardi Gras I am going to try and avoid those and target these 2 dates.

2020 Disney Wonder 4-Night Western Caribbean Cruise on 3/2

Day 1: New Orleans, Louisiana
Day 2: At Sea
Day 3: Cozumel, Mexico
Day 4: At Sea
Day 5: New Orleans, Louisiana

7-Night Bahamian Cruise on 2/7

Day 1: New Orleans, Louisiana
Day 2: At Sea
Day 3: At Sea
Day 4: Nassau , Bahamas
Day 5: Disney Castaway Cay
Day 5: Key West, Florida
Day 6: At Sea
Day 7: New Orleans, Louisiana

Im going to check the pricing on the Panama Canal cruise as well but only out of curiosity...Im expecting $4k+ per person for an interior stateroom

The Panama Canal trip is as much them needing to get the boat to the west coast as anything right? I have no idea about the demand for that trip, it may be super high. But it may also simply be a way for them to pay for moving the ship to the other side of the country and therefore have some deals to fill it up.

Yes, it is a repositioning. I would suspect demand would be high because it is a route that is not offered very often.

I went on the Dream 2 years ago when my kids were 4,5. We had a good time, but I was wondering if the 2nd time on a Disney cruise would be kinda boring as we already did Disney. Wife wants to do the New Orleans, I'm just hesitant. Looking at the 4 day so I don't have to go all in.
