Anyone here ever taken cruise on Aegean to follow footsteps of the Apostle Paul? Suggestions, cautions? Particular cruise line to take or avoid? Thanks

I did one about 20 years ago with my in-laws through our church. We went to several stops in Italy, Greece, and Turkey. Started in Venice and ended in Athens. One super-rough night with 26-foot seas where so many people were seasick they had to turn the dining room into an infirmary. It was not your typical cruise experience with unlimited buffet options and drink packages. Food was so bad on the ship we took pictures of the menu...think truffled chicken liver parfait. All of the passengers, with the exception of my sister and brother-in-law and myself and my husband, were over 70. There was a great deal of bus sing-a-longs while driving to specific sites. If I ever hear "This is the Day" again, it'll be too soon. All that being said, the places we saw were amazing and the trip was super memorable. Ephesus and Patmos were highlights.

If you're going to follow his footsteps, then you really need to hike over the Taurus Mountains on foot.

I'm such a heathen I legit thought from the title that OP wanted to follow a tour by Apostle Paul Martin, the musician who used to be in Marty Stuart's band.

Me too. I thought it was going to be a movie with Tom Cruise playing Paul. Was going to tell him to move this to the movie board.

Yes I did about two years ago and it was an awesome trip. We went with a group from church. It was booked through Templeton Tours. We flew to Rome and got on the ship there and went to Naples, Capri, Santorini, Mykonos, Athens, Corinth, Kusadasi, Turkey to see Ephesus, and then Crete
