Heading to Clearwater Beach, FL in February for a work trip. Staying in Sand Key. Any recommendation on restaurants, thing to do in the afternoon?
This will be my first time here.

Eat at Frenchy's. Just good solid fried seafood.

That place caught my attention when I did a quick google maps search. Will have to try it out.

Columbia Restaurant was fantastic when I was in Sand Key a few years back.

Frenchy’s

Drive into Tampa and eat at Bern’s. The dessert room is cool.

Clearwater an interesting place. Lots of Scientologists. Not the best beaches but it’s proximity to Tampa and St. Pete make it a cool spot. Tampa is a great eating city. Bern’s as mentioned, Rocca, Oak & Ola, Olivia, On Swann.

Unless the beaches have changed in the last few years I don't agree with that. Beaches are beautiful now if you want to talk about the traffic getting to them that is a different story.

Tampa resident here. Clearwater is a weird town. As others have mentioned; lots of Scientology there. Like it’s everywhere. Lots of local business owners that are not a part of the cult have left. Beaches aren’t bad. Perhaps make a trip up to Tarpon Springs or Dunedin for a different vibe.

Dunedin was pretty cool. Old Florida style town.

Highly recommend Columbia restaurant in Ybor City for authentic Cuban food.
