For those that have CLEAR memberships....just saw this job posting on Glassdoor. Assuming it would be whenever the new airport opens.

Would make sense as the new airport will have a single screening area.

That would be incredible. I joined due to several trips this year to many Clear airports and its pretty awesome.

Nice. This seals the deal for me.

It’s fricked up the lines at LGA. Lots of people who use LGA have Pre. There usually is a steady stream of Clear people which backs up the Pre line. Eventually people will have both and then we are back to the same exact wait time pre-Clear.
It’s a money grab.

Same thing is happening at ATL. I always use the north checkpoint pre-check for this very reason. The south checkpoint pre-check (Delta terminal) is where CLEAR processes at.

A fully functional TSA Pre-Check line thats open at all times would be a better use of time.

With the single checkpoint pre-check should work much better, no issues of staffing up at D buring peaks, then trying to reshuffle personnel to C when it gets busy and vice versa. That is a LOT of inefficiency.
My real concerns are on the roadway approaches and ground transportation. The consolidated rental car facility used to be a big plus for MSY, now it will be a negative experience.

Clear is a great Delta diamond perk

While I like the idea of CLEAR, all it does is it get you to the passenger screening area slightly faster. I’ve never waited more than 10 mins in TSA Pre

Ya I haven't needed Clear here but I have no issues paying for it when the day comes that Precheck becomes clogged all the time.

i have read about how CLEAR works, and i still don't quite get it.
you don't have to stand in line to get your boarding pass and ID checked by the tsa agent, right? as long as there is a separate line for tsa-pre and non-pre travelers, this shouldn't be an issue. here in PHX the tsa-precheck has its own line that funnels to tsa boarding pass and ID checkers. you don't have to stand in a single line to have those checked before you get into the tsa-pre screening lines. is that not the case at every airport?

As far as I can tell there is no difference between Precheck and Clear, except clear has no lines at all, but when I've watched people "processing" with the Clear worker in the line before the TSA agent, it takes about as long as how long it takes a TSA agent to check a few Precheck passengers, so it doesn't save more than a minute perhaps because then you go through security, since most of the time I'm no worse than about 10th in line at Precheck here.
However, the Feds have stated they would like to get Precheck to be the predominant form of security that passengers go through. If they ever hit that sort of critical mass then Clear may become an option.
You just don't have to hand over your ID to the agent since you verified your ID already with Clear, just your boarding pass. You then go through whatever security you're OK to go through it regular or Preboard since that's separate from Clear.

How does clear work? I have GE and TSA pre has been just fine for me.
Only downside are the mid airports where you have to take your laptop out.

With CLEAR, you scan your fingerprints, and a CLEAR agent takes you directly to the front of the line to run through security. You even skip in front of the tsa pre people.

That’s how CLEAR works in theory, but not in practice. When it first launched, that’s how it worked. But airports with a decent amount of Clear customers, the Pre line would not move. Now, atleast at LGA Delta Terminals, there are two lines, one each for Pre and Clear. The TSA agent alternates between the two lines. Clear gets a shorter queue, but not necessarily cut in front of everyone.

I've used it in Denver, San Antonio, Austin, and Vegas and that's how it worked every time

That line can be just as long as the first line.
