I have 2 weeks off from work coming in december and and pretty indifferent to where I go (somewhere in the US). are there any good sites that offer deals on flight/hotels with a flexible date/destination?

I use travelocity almost exclusively.
for example... the Paris trip I'm close to booking... for flight alone through chase rewards is over $2,000.... yet through travelocity... flight and hotel for $1200 or so

I second this. The wife and I use trip masters for all our international trips, and we love it.
Fantastic way to plan out your itinerary and pay for it all up-front so you don't have to worry about budgeting out the money for hotels, etc. during the trip. It also keeps everything (flights, hotels, ground transportation) nice and organized in one place.
They're great to work with too.

I am looking at a Dublin, Edinburgh trip next year. I have points I can use with Marriott in both places. Will Trip Masters allow me to use points? Thanks

Expedia. Once you reach gold status, you get extra rewards points (which add up quickly for free hotel nights etc.), VIP status at select hotels (the perks can be great to meh), and most importantly the gold member hotline for any issues that come up during your travels. It's like having a personal travel agent. I've had flights changed/cancelled for free where the airlines refused. Their deals are better than TripMasters as well, and you can organize all of your air miles, TSA pre check, hotel memberships, etc. in your account information for easy access.

Good question. Not sure, but they will ask for your membership # to any frequent flyer or hotel programs so that they can apply it when they do the bookings.
But we've never actually used frequent flyer miles with tripmasters before. Someone else may be more knowledgeable.

I have been pricing out some trips with them but haven't pulled the trigger. Some of their prices are really really good with the airfare included.

I booked Priceline several years ago, hotel + car + flight for 2 people was 3400 for 19 days.
