What kind of trip are you interested in? Hiking and outdoorsy stuff or brewery hopping and food stuff?

I saw some talk but not a bunch of specifics.

White water rafting or zip lining would be fun. I’m not much for craft beer but I’ll pretend long enough to get drunk.

Restaurant recommendations would be appreciated. Or specific hikes

1) Rhubarb
2) All the breweries
3) If you go to The Biltmore, and you should, make sure to hit up the wine tasting. It’s included in the tour price and the lady we got gave us 8 to 10 generous pours. Their wine is underrated.

Asheville is pinned in the collection of trips under North Carolina. Really not much in that post though. Apparently posts on the board are kept for a certain period of time and you can’t find them through the typical search. Go to search, more options, and use the “search tigerdroppings with google” on the right side and you’ll get the restaurant and breweries posts. Asheville is brought up at least twice a month with redundant answers.

Some hikes near Asheville

This is a link to Looking Glass Rock near Brevard which is 40 minutes +- from A’ville. It has links to other hikes.

Edited to change Falls to Rock. There is a LG Falls but I think that is a different place.

The Sierra Nevada brewery has a restaurant that is good. They serve smaller portions so you can sample different items. Our waitress described it as “large” tapas.

They also have tours/hikes and they sell out frequently. Check out their website for the details.

Hike during the day, drink at night>>>>repeat

Looking Glass rock is a nice hike

Don't waste your time at the Biltmore, imo.

We just went this past September. My wife's grandma lives in Asheville.
We rafted the french broad out of Marshall with French Broad Adventures. Would reccomend.
Also recommended the Sierra Nevada Brewery (we missed the tour but the restaurant was great). Buxton hall bbq for sure.
