Anyone planning to be in DC the week of Jul 4?

I'll be there from the 30th to the July 5th.
Got my Capitol tour scheduled, National Archives passes, Arlington tour scheduled, and planning to stake out seats at the Archives early morning for the reading of the Declaration and the parade.
But we do have all day Jul 3rd. Was planning on just walking the all American state fair that day.
Any other things I should consider on that day? Or in the evening of any other day?

Udvar Hazy near IAD. They have more space than the Air and Space Museum, if that's what you're into.
I don't know if you're excluding things you've already been to, but Korean War Memorial is a must. Somber and depressing, as it should be.
You probably know someone, (friend of a cousin, etc.) that is in Arlington. Go there. Hit the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. You don't need a tour.

Thanks!
We've seen all the monuments up close (including Korean War), but this time we will see them at night.
I chose to pay for an Arlington tram tour because we have a different tour scheduled through a representative somewhere else later in the day. I figured the tram would be faster than walking and it allows you to hop on and hop off anytime. I believe we will have time to see everything on the tour, but just in case we don't I figured it'd be the fastest way back to the entrance and Metro station. Arlington tour starts at 0830, and we have to be at the FBI building by 1330 for a 1400 tour. This seems reasonably achievable to me.
The Capitol tour will be the next morning, and National Archives that afternoon. Later that same day on Jul 2nd, we will watch the dress rehearsal of the Capitol Fourth concert.
July 3rd will be spent meandering around the National Mall/ State Fair.
We won't be going to any museums this time. We haven't been to all of them, but we've seen the ones that interested us the most. Any down time will likely be spent at the State Fair... unless someone mentions something here that's very compelling.

Wife and I got tickets to see the fireworks on the Potomac at Mount Vernon. You will like the Capitol tour and Arlington. I can spend damn near the whole day at Arlington. We moved to Richmond, VA about 1 1/2 years ago from DS, La. We go to DC about once a month to hang out, have lunch. We always have a great time there.

We considered a cruise for the fireworks show but ultimately decided against it. Based on things I've seen recently, you may want to verify your cruise is still being offered. If it is, then you may want to verify the exact route and if you're okay with that. I believe parts of the Potomac will be closed this year, which apparently isnt usually the case. Some cruise operators are not happy about it. Disregard all that if you mean there's a different fireworks show at Mount Vernon that you'll be seeing.
I truly enjoyed our first visit last year for inauguration. But due to the weather situation and security, we missed out on some things.
For the fireworks, I plan to use mardi gras skills and arrive nice and early to the Lincoln Memorial and stake out our seats on the steps, or maybe a spot on the grass with a beach blanket. Crowds don't bother me. I'm going to watch the same view shown on TV.
If that doesn't work out for whatever reason, we will camp out between the Washington Monument and the WWII Memorial. That said, based on what I'm hearing regarding the size of this years fireworks show, it might be better to be on the WWII side of the pool because the fireworks will be launched from multiple locations, including from behind the Lincoln Memorial on the river. I been trying to find specific information every few days.

They time it really well too. First stop is the Eternal Flame, then you pass Pershing's grave and something else, then they drop you off at the Unknown Solider just a few minutes before the changing of the guard.
Definitely worth the money, especially that time of year in the heat
