re: Am I crazy to think that I can go to 4 Disney parks in one day just to get on 4 rides?

Tron pretty much is going to wreck him. He's going to have get extremely lucky with that. I don't see it happening unless he gets super lucky. He has to get a pass there from the 7am window that starts before 11, realistically he needs it before 11 in order to have 2 hours to wait for the ride and then another hour to grab a lunch and make it to the next park.
If he doesn't get it the first go around, having to be in the park for the next one at 2pm pretty much puts a fork in the day.

If I miss out on Tron, I won’t sweat it but I will try my best to get it. If I miss out on it, I will get on other rides at Magic kingdom to start the day until 2pm for park hopping.

That’s a good outlook. You’ll still have a blast if you do the other three and mix in a few other rides.
Guardians is freaking awesome. We were there last month and rode it three times. The lightning lane is worth it.

As much as I want to ride Tron, I heard a lot of people complain how short the ride is compared to others. After hearing about the new system at Disney with genie plus and lightning lanes, I was turned off by it and I wasn’t bothered about going to Disney. I guess I am stuck in my ways of how a Disney was before covid. I haven’t been since the mid 2000s but after seeing the new rides that a Disney has or rides that I haven’t been on since my last trip after checking out YouTube videos, I really want to get in those rides now lol. Guardian of the Galaxy looks awesome on YouTube. I can’t imagine how cool it is actually riding it.

Length of Rides
Tron: 2 Minutes
Flight of Passage: 4.5 Minutes
Guardians: 3.33 Minutes
Rise of the Resistance: 18 Minutes
Just consider what else you can do with the time, money, and effort.
Good Luck

Yeah..I can promise that if you do miss out, you won't be the only one. Another thing I would do (or avoid doing in this case) is do not make any sit down dining reservations. That's only going to complicate things.
Identify quick service locations in all 4 parks that you would enjoy because there is a difference in places like Pizzafari at Animal Kingdom vs Satul'i Canteen. Same can be said of Magic Kingdom...do you want a hot dog from Casey's Corner or a Chicken and Waffle sandwich.
Research mobile ordering using the app, which places have it and keep an eye on the time windows. If you think you might be hungry at 12, start looking at the app around 11 to see what time your food would be ready if you placed your mobile order then.
I would definitely target eating lunch in Magic Kingdom before you hop, a snack in Hollywood Studios in Galaxy's Edge at Docking By 7 (before or after you do Rise of the Resistance) and dinner in Epcot at the food booths for Flower & Garden Festival.

That plan would absolutely never work.

Book the VIP - let’s you get on any ride in any park when you are ready - and you have direct park to park access…and no damn wait.
Minimum is about $800 an hour but worth every damn penny -
You will need to tip a heafty amount.
You will need your park passes in addition to the $800 an hour.
All that said - with a 12 year old, slow down and enjoy the day - the 12 yo won’t appreciate the vip day until older

Everybody I talked to told me I was crazy and all recommended that I should at least go to Disney for two days. I went ahead and decided to stay an extra day in Orlando and we will park hop starting the day off at (in no order yet) Epcot and going to Animal kingdom and the next day starting at Hollywood Studios and park hopping to Magic Kingdom.

Just remember, if you don’t start a day in magic kingdom you won’t get Tron
Doesn’t mean it’s a bad startet but the only way you’ll get in the virtual queue is to have a park reservation
Personally, I wish you would have put ju strategy to the test to prove these suckas wrong

Trust me! A part of me still wants to prove I can might do it lol
If I start the day off at Magic Kingdom to try to ride Tron, would my son still have a chance to ride Rise of the Resistance when we park hop at 2pm? Guardian of the Galaxy is the one he wants to ride the most, that’s why I was thinking the first day to start at Epcot.

Yes. Definitely.
The waits will be lowest right before the park closes so if you start at MK and hop to Hollywood is plan to get in line right when the park of closing. At that point, there’s nothing else you can do anyway so there’s no time “lost”
Even if you have to take a mid day break somewhere, you can abso do Tron in the am and Rise in the afternoon. There are times when the standby wait for Rise will dip under an hour around dinner time too so just keep an eye on the wait times

I’m glad you told me that! I will definitely be doing that! I got two nights at Pop Century Resort with the skyliner to Epcot and Hollywood Studios but we will definitely start at Magic Kingdom to try to ride Tron

Well now that changes things a little too because now, as a resort guest, you will be able to purchase the individual lightning lane for Tron as well. So, theoretically your at 7 am you could try to purchase lightning lanes for everyone on your cell phoner and your wife could try to get in the virtual queue for everyone.
Here's a good breakdown

The virtual que really screwed us at Epcot when we were trying to get on one of popular rides (can’t remember which one)…our time was 11am and it kept getting pushed back …when it got to 7 pm, we just gave up.

Yea that's not gonna happen. Flight of Passage is the only one you'd have a shot at after park hopping. Guardians and Tron are both virtual queue or individual lightning lane only and I doubt you'd get either without being in those parks first thing in the AM. 3 is possible but one of Tron or Guardians would have to be skipped.

Your gonna make me buy another day at Disney to so I can ride Guardian, Tron, and Rise, first thing at the parks huh….. lol

Guardians is my favorite in Orlando, including Velocicoaster. Haven't rode Tron yet, going in July, but most people that have been on both still prefer Guardians.

Tron looks awesome but everybody said it’s just too short but I’m looking toward to hopefully riding it

Nah. What's crazy is continuing to throw your money at Disney.
