Any chance it's the new F on the 777? I know they are only running it on a few routes.

Why haven't all the airlines done this by now?
Government regulation. The US airlines don't want the mask requirement anymore either but are stuck with it (and stuck with enforcing it).

The airline employee unions certainly do. They are pushing hard at the admin to keep them, to my knowledge

How are they going to catch Covid when they're in the galley playing Candy Crush?

not many do.
the last couple of flights i was on domestically i took my mask off on the plane and left it off the whole flight. No one said anything.
I've walked through every airport maskless and no one has said anything.

That was one statement by the AFA-CWA put out there as a "save the children" virtue signal and as a possible bargaining chip for contract negotiations. I can assure you that the rank and file F/A's are fed up with trying to police the regulation. Of course there are exceptions where some F/A's might be on a power trip or something. The mask mandate is bad for business so any airline employee would be foolish to want to keep it.

I was on a delta flight earlier this week and they were definitely enforcing it. As soon as we finished our meal they took the tray and asked us to put our masks back on unless taking a sip of our drinks.

As of tomorrow, 3/23/22, KLM will no longer enforce the face mask mandate.
Please note that the mask mandate has not been lifted by the Dutch government and technically masks are still required on planes.

Just got back from a trip. Flew American Airlines. Most of the flight attendants didn’t care but of course there were 2 that did. One being on a regional jet where she did no service or anything other than mask patrol…. I’m not sure what some of these FA’s are going to do when they have to serve drinks again and not be mask police….

Flew from DCA to DAL Wednesday and was glad they enforced the mask. The lady in the seat next to me had lukememia or something damn near like it. Coughed the entire trip. Completely full flight, no place to move. Held my breath most of the way

Any update on this for other airlines? I got tapped by my group for travel to the UK and god I don't want to wear a fricking mask.

Nothing new since the SWISS update that I've seen. Hopefully the US mandate ends here in a couple of weeks

Germany lifts mask mandates in Airports but "strongly encourages" them. Masks are still required to be worn on planes.
Must use it in safest place on earth.
Clown world.
