Polynesian Cultural Center is good if you get to other side of island.

Drive to North Shore. Gotta eat at Kakahka Kitchen at Ward Center for breakfast....Spend as little time as possible in Wakiki.

Waikiki is a shitshow so don’t spend all of your time there, if that’s where you’re staying.
Definitely try to get to the Northshore and spend some time up there. The east side of island is incredibly underrated too.
The Pig and the Lady is incredible.
It’s touristy but go to Giovanni’s for the shrimp and get some shave ice.
Stop at any Foodland grocery store and purchase your Pokè there by weight, great lunch and less expensive. It’s something people that live there do.

Head over to Kailua it's a smaller city than Honolulu and is a beautiful drive if you head north east for a drive along the coast. Beautiful drive going that way make sure and stop at Sandy Beach for an amazing view and some relaxation. My .02 rent a jeep and just drive the island you will not be disappointed and hit the North Shore fa sure.
eta: Anytime you get a chance to eat some huli huli chicken get it's fricking delicious.

We just got back in May we stayed a week in Maui and one week on Oahu. We go to Hawaii every five years this time we did a Airbnb on the North Shore. The highway system is great on Oahu. The drives on H2 and H3 are like no other. This your first time going to Hawaii?

Overrated if you a Louisiana native lots of butter and garlic and the shrimp are nice size but I was meh'd. Shaved Ice right across the street and the Huli Huli chicken tent right(only there on saturday & Sundays) in that area also. For the OP this is all on the north shore in Haleiwa.

Make sure you get outside of Honolulu definitely rent a vehicle for at least 2 days and adventure around the island. People say traffic is horrible in Honolulu but it only takes 20-30 mins to get out of the city. Aloha
I am off work and time for a beer

Hike diamondhead, hanauma bay for snorkeling, and Pearl Harbor for sure. You will need to go online and make appointments/reservations for each of them.

Lots of good rec's in this thread.
In addition to Diamondhead, Pearl Harbor and the Polynesian Cultural Center, I'd add the Dole Plantation and Duke's on Waikiki (especially for a weekend brunch).

Get the latest editions of Oahu Revealed by Andrew Doughty and Driving and Discovering Oahu by Richard Sullivan. You can figure out what you want to do ahead of time and then use them to get around once you're there.
Pearl Harbor is a must; visiting the Arizona Memorial is unforgettable. Hanauma Bay is an easy drive for some decent snorkeling. Hike up Diamond Head for some incredible views. Walk around Punch Bowl National Cemetery. Definitely get out of Honolulu; spend at least a day driving around the perimeter to the North Shore. That said, Waikiki is cheesy but iconic; take a surfing lesson and visit the Royal Hawaiian (Pink Palace) for some umbrella drinks and people watching.
EDIT: sorry, I didn't see this is post-trip. Leaving this here in case anybody else is researching.
