I was going through my Epic Mix app last night and discovered that it tracked my lifts ride and vertical feet. Pretty damn cool. But is there an app that I can use for any resort not just Epic. One that I could import/manually create my data from my last trip so I can keep a historical record of all my trips? I know there are a few but wasn’t sure if any did the import or which one was best. Any that track what runs you do?

There is an app called ski tracks that can tell you a lot of cool info. It has maps as well. The satellite image is great, but for some reason isn’t showing on this track I had saved. Very detailed, you can even see which trees you go through.

There is a paid version, I’m not really sure how much more stuff it offers though.

Where do you find the energy to ski all fricking day? I’m assuming you’re not in your mid 40’s like me.

Not sure. On my last trip to Tahoe, I skied all day 4 straight days. The first day I was fine but those 2nd-4th days I was feeling it in my legs. I was going to do the Gunbarrel Double Black Run at Heavenly my 4th day, but my legs were so tired I didn't think it would be a good idea. On my 3rd day I was at Kirkwood and struggled toward the end of the day, especially on The Wall which is steep and I had to keep stopping every 6 turns or so to let my legs rest.

I'm starting another 4 day trip tomorrow at Vail, Mon/Tue/Thursday at Vail and Wed at Beaver Creek. I have a list of all the runs I want to hit at Vail and am not sure if 3 days will be enough. Since the back bowls were almost 100% closed last time I was there, most of my list includes the back bowls and Blue Sky Basin, but there are some front side runs I want to hit as well such as Blue Ox, Highline, Roger's Run and I also want to attempt the PPL which is Prima-Pronto-Log Chute all in a row.

I'm thinking about getting the harder stuff out of the way tomorrow while my legs are still fresh. On my list for tomorrow is Forever, WOW, Genghis Khan, Mongolia Bowl, Blue Ox, Highline, Roger's Run, Prima, Pronto, and Log Chute. If I can get all those in I'll fill the rest of the day with easier runs. Although I might move Blue Ox to Tuesday since they Groom it on Tuesdays.

Yeah thats her.

Like stated, if you do happen to bump into him, Reference his Auburn cousin. He might not put two and two together with that though, since he has been in Montana for 20+ years do this. Could also say Robins son says Hi..

Hes been out snowmobiling quite a bit recently, so might not be there as well.

I’ll most likely see the dog before him. I’ll be sure to say hello when I find them together.

Looking at a quick 4 day trip to Park City around the weekend of 3/20 as I have some other friends going and would tag along. Worried about snow conditions and warm weather though. The only places I've ski'd this late in March are in Summit County CO, and given the high elevation, there are rarely warm weather concerns there until April.

Any insight from those paying more attention to ski conditions and the expected forecast for the next couple weeks in Utah?

Spring conditions are quite variable, even for Park City.

The Powder Buoy (Instagram) is an insane forecaster for that area. I’d start watching his reports now.

It's been a crazy couple of weeks. At the point where I can do multiple double blacks a day, and single blacks are not really much of an issue anymore. The double blacks are still not pretty to look at, but I can get down safely without much issue at least. Moguls are still tough, but I'm able to do most of the blue moguls we find.

Keep your head up. Look at the next set and quickly peek ahead envisioning your line. Most people seem to look down at their tips.

It’s a great feeling once you get the cadence. You have to go to Deer Valley to see what moguls are all about (and how much snowboarders jack them up)

Vail was mixed today. The backside was terrible. Total hard ice. I gave it a couple tries but it was really bad. One of the rare days the front side was better. Snow wasn't bad on the front side. It was good snow on Blue Ox, Highline, Roger's Run and Riva Ridge.. Got in 26 lifts so I broke my record of 25 I set at Northstar.

My day at A Basin was a pretty big disappointment. The snow was in spring mode but whatever. The mountain itself and setup is fantastic. I doubt there is a better view in CO. But for a place that has a reputation of tough terrain, the amount of shitty skiers and iced spots from people sliding was crazy. I was hit while pulling my kid on a flat spot by some gapper. They were everywhere. I’m sure that place is amazing when things are right but initial thought: WP>>>>AB.

I saw so many people fall going into Larkspur, it was very icy and for a blue run it is steep going into it. Lot of people scraping up the run. Fortunately it wasn't busy so most everthing else was ok when I was there.

My dream is still to ski there after a powder dump, it has to be legit but I am sure the hordes descend on that place as well being so close to Denver.

Just a couple days of skiing. We've only started skiing this year and have been to breckenridge and keystone. Would kinda like to try something different. Since it'll just be a quick weekend trip we'd like something that's not a crazy long drive from an airport. We aren't trying to break the bank on this one. Just itching to go again before the seasons up.

I would imagine A-Basin would keep snow well being at the elevation it is at, lift tickets are probably more reasonable and it is short drive from Keystone/Dillon.

The mountain is no joke though.

Mount Bachleor would a place to look at depending on if you can get a deal on flight into Redmond, Oregon.

SLC could be an option if the snow is still good, lower elevation but it would be the cheapest route.

Thanks Fargo. I've came across mt bachelor on some searches I've done. Looks interesting. Have you skied there before ?

Lift tickets with epic don't seem to be available for the days I need @ park city.

I am actually going to Bachelor next week, I kept hearing about how great the snow is later in the year so it seemed like the ideal place to check out since it is on Ikon.

Snowbasin is on Epic and is in Ogden, you could look into that if you want to try Utah. I have no idea how the conditions would be there though in April.

This storm coming through CO this week is crazy. It should be a nice refresh for most mountains but WP, Eldora, and Denver are expected to get multiple feet. Eldora currently projected at 29” through Saturday and the storm will still be strong on Sunday. The high estimate for Denver is 60”
