Damn, that's amazing. Hopefully that means a lot of the resorts will be skiing into May/June this year.

I spoke to someone at Vail Resorts. According to him they are considering pushing Keystone's closing date back to the end of April. Vail Mountain's closing date was already pushed back a week.

I wouldn't count on much more than that. With seasonal workers and contracts it is a lot to juggle.

Agreed. We really enjoyed it. It is definitely on the list to go back.

Thanks for posting the pics. This is the first season since '05-'06 that I'm not skiing due to a work contract.

I've been to Heavenly 17-18 times since '07-'08 season. I usually travel solo, so I enjoy the apres ski and other nightlife in South Lake. Also, getting to and around the village is easy with no rental needed.

I'm literally daydreaming about those slopes and trees looking at those pics.

I LIVE for the winter (skiing and whitetail).

That was Homewood. We are skiing Heavenly Thursday and Friday. I’ll make sure to add some more pics for ya!

Today was another sunny 30 degree day. We did a five mile hike on our day off

Park City has been phenomenal. Today was a gorgeous blue bird day. Only one so far. So much snow. My only negative is that even the green runs are a little fast for my less experienced wife. My son did great on his snowboard for his first time. He has mastered the heel slide which in my opinion is the most critical of all snowboarding skills because you can get down a double black on a heel slide if you have to. He took today off and I was solo and loving every minute of it.

Which ruins the snow for the skiiers.

I’d say learning to fall correctly is the most valuable beginner snowboarding skill but him heel sliding down on his first day ain’t too shabby!

And I don’t mind a bit when one little kid pushing snow makes all the skiers cry.

EDIT:
The snowboarder vs skier thing is so played out. Both plow equally at beginner levels.

Right. I mean I know my 50lb son heel sliding down 3 green trails of the 347 on the 8000 acres is really going to ruin the skiers day, but I just don’t care. Skiers don’t own the fricking mountain

I’ve never tried to ski. I’ve been on a board for 23 seasons.

My friend is always on ski. We have a damn good time.

Whoever gets to the stashes first are who owns the claim!

Good meeting you too brother.

I thought keystone was great. The runs seemed much longer than in breckenridge. I think I preferred skiing keystone to breck. I'm comparing the two bc I went to both recently.

Outside of the skiing how would you compare the 2 towns, being Breck and Keystone?

Keystone's town is very weak. Breck is significantly better.

Sun somehow prevailed at Heavenly today, but all of the upper lifts were closed due to wind. Still a great day to ski. Thanks Cuse for coaching me up on travel last weekend!
