7" unexpected overnight! Ah yeah.

Yep, looking like the same here in Utah. Couldn't have gotten better luck with the snow this week.

Yesterday was amazing. Dumped overnight and turned blue skies in the morning. Supposed to get another storm today and tonight.

Park City was meh yesterday. No new snow. For some reason I don't really care for the mountain and how the trails are laid out. It might be because I grew up skiing Steamboat which I think is one of the best ski mountains for an intermediate like me.
Hitting up Brighton today 9 inches last night and an additional 10 inches coming today.
Shouldn't be many people for a Monday. And lots of powder!

Heard Brighton was all-time today!
Didn't make it out today at the Boat but the storm just arrived and I have tomorrow off.

First tracks is a good call man. It's crushing out right now. Web cam is going off.

Just checked the cam and I'm jealous. Looks like tomorrow could be epic if it keeps going all night. With the snow over the weekend and cooler temps it should be pretty deep tomorrow

My old roommate from last winter came up from Silverthorne and I got the day off tomorrow. Things are lining up for an all timer.

It 'twas an all-timer for sure today. Some deep snow and kept snowing most of the day. Had a great squad. Lapped a lot of Pony trees. Made a lap through Chute 3. Absolutely worn out. Ski'd hard.
Here's a pic from bluebird pow day Sunday.

Just got back from 3 days in Vail. Amazing trip.
Snowed everyday we were there. The back bowls were fricking amazing!! Probably the most enjoyable boarding I've ever done.

Glad the snow lined up for ya man! Ski trips are so tough when weather doesn't turn out to be what ya wanted. I might go down to Vail or BC Friday.
My boss at the golf course texted me asking if I wanted to go out on Buff Pass in Steamboat backcountry tomorrow morning for some sled skiing. Two people getting towed and a shuttle driver on the snow mobile. Couldn't say no.
Feels like the state of Louisiana is in Steamboat for Mardi Gras week. Though it was the same way last year when I lived in Breck. All of our renters at the ski shop are from LA.

Hot damn that looks nice
I'll be out that way a week from today. Hopefully something, anything, comes through on the snow front

Man. That was awesome this morning. Two people skiing and one person shuttling. Ski'd great untouched powder. Nothing crazy. But good snow and no one around really. So much area to ski up on Buff Pass.
We were right near the Steamboat Powdercats early in the morning. Felt awesome to be skiing the same stuff they had paid $600 to ski for the day.

Snow is falling across the West it seems. Just not too much in lately in NW Colorado. We had about 6 inches of snow with HEAVY winds. I went up yesterday to ski the afternoon and see how the snow was.
Holy shite was that interesting. Bullet proof wind blown moguls with soft, grabby, wind affected new snow. Found a few good pockets but nothing great overall. Have no clue what it will look or ski today.
The most variable snow I've ski'd all year. It made me feel like a bad skier.
Which is funny because I'm actually the best fricking skier on the mountain. (+GNAR pts)

I don't know how you're sponsored. I'm so much better than you.

Just got some new skis and heading to the Basin for some classic spring skiing tomorrow to test them out. Gonna show my steamboat roomies around the Legend. Things should soften up and be fun mid day I'm hoping.

2017-18 Epic season passes went on sale today. Surprised they didn't at least try to offer the kids free pass they RMSP came with this season. Disappointed with the lack of a good early bird pass special. Hopefully RMSP or Mountain Collective will come out soon with a good early bird deal for next season.
