Damn! That's promising! How is this year stacking up compared to years past?

Think we are almost to average or above average snow pack now. Slow November but we caught up fast! Forecast stays stormy through Christmas.
Still snowing as of 9am Saturday.

In Breck now after having to sleep in Denver airport last night. The snow is piled up and it's cold as crap.

16 inches reported and overall epic day at Copper
Left my buddies house in golden at 6 and barely made it out in front of the shite show before 70 got closed in Georgetown for a while. All the newly opened and untracked terrain around Alpine lift was pristine

Hell yeah man. Sounds like a good one.
Played in some leftovers after work yesterday. Now to go rip some ice cold groomers before work.
Negative temps. Fresh corduroy.

My buddies girlfriend who had to go to the hospital on our last day at A Basin last year had a compound fracture at Eldora yesterday. 2 surgeries and 6 pins and a plate in her humerus later she's back on the road to recovery

Just picked up a new pair of goggles and a highlighter yellow helmet, my group will be able to find me anywhere on the mountain.

I sat in traffic Saturday morning for 4 hours.... 4 hours...
Still got in 4 straight hours of fresh pow at Vail though so it was worth it.

Also - wanted to add this not so funny story.
I almost missed the full day of skiing because I couldn't get one of my ski boots on. I read an article last year that said you need to store your boots cinched down so they sat buckled up all summer.
I get there yesterday and no matter what I did I couldn't get my right boot on. After almost 20 minutes, I laid down in the bed of my truck and somehow got it on with the help of my wife. I was using pliers to lift the top of the boots.
Wasn't funny at the time but

Yup. I sat in a complete standstill for 1.5 hours right by the lake.

I heard it closed about 15 minutes after we made it through. The difference between leaving at 6 or 6:30 in the morning can be huge. Glad you still managed to get out there and enjoy all those freshies
