Snow reports looking good this AM and Saturday setting up to be a pow day. Good luck to those who will be trekking the I-70 corridor. Looking like Eldora for me to avoid the traffic and masses

I'm headed up to our Breck house this evening after work (have tomorrow off). I don't ever have to deal with 70 traffic, thankfully.

It's not out of the question at some point We only charge $20/person/night for guests that aren't in on the rent/bills.
ETA: I'd have to actually meet you guys first of course before saying, "sure, come on in!"

If you drive on 70, you deal with the traffic. Definitely not nearly as bad heading that way on a Thursday evening, but think about the drive home Sunday

Eh, I don't drive home until 8-9p on Sundays. It's clear by then.
Even when I work Fridays, I'm on the road by 1230-1 since we only do half day Fridays. It's always clear then too.

Looking at the cams right now and it looks white out conditions up high. Snow stake is up to 10". Save some for me on Sunday, haha.
Looks like now the storm for next Wednesday is weakening but if it does pull through do you recommend paying for a first tracks ticket?

Raining at my house. Pounding snow up top.
Cold front supposed to come in today so it's actually nice for us to get a dumping of heavy snow followed by some cold smoke on top of it tonight.
Snow was absolutely awesome up top. I had my 188 4frnt CRJ powder skis on for the first time in some deep stuff. Felt like surfboards on my feet.
I can't really speak to first tracks, since it's my first winter here. But if there's a powder day and I'm not working the AM, you'll see me up front near the glass before the gondola opens.
Sounds like Wednesday might be a weaker storm followed by a stronger one Christmas Eve-Christmas. Download OpenSnow if you haven't. Joel is the man.

I've been reading Opensnow for years and have changed many trips at the last minute based on his predictions.
Hopefully middle of next week works out, I'll be there in line as early as ski school lets me drop of the kid.

I'm having the pleasure of trying to catch a few hours sleep in the Denver airport.
It's dumping from here all the way up I 70 Corredor. They say the traffic is horrible, there's multiple wrecks, so it might be a good thing I didn't get a car and drive in this late at night.
Off to dream about my first ever Breck run hooefully this afternoon.

I saw that...sad part is normally my December trip is this past week but my son wanted to go so I pushed it back a week so he could go. Oh well, hopefully will get there tomorrow night and still get to spend some quality time with him. He is upset to be missing the Christmas celebration tomorrow night.

Here at the Boat and it's still coming down out there. Can't wait to hit the mountain. Bamafan I'm like 95% sure I saw you at the gondola yesterday morning but you were out ahead of us so I didn't wanna yell like a dick bag to get your attention.
