Recently got an Iphone 13 pro and i swear my connection is way worse than before. Wish i could go back to LTE. Can’t stream anything without wi-fi anymore

honestly until I got c-band Verizon I felt the same about 5G as you. A total waste and marketing hype.

But I live out in BFE and get C band UWB 5G in my driveway. I've seen close to 1gbps on it.

With that said anytime I just see standard 5G, there is literally jack shite of benefit compared to LTE.

Settings - Cellular - Cellular Data Options - Voice & Data - LTE

AT&T 5G is terrible where I live so I’ve turned 5G off.

Same... I have Verizon. The coverage is shite, so the 5G antennas don't seem to be able to handle many devices.

Because "5G" doesn't mean "more spectrum". Good speeds and widespread coverage depends on the spectrum being used by carriers. Right now, AT&T is simply sharing their existing LTE spectrum with 5G NR via Dynamic Spectrum Sharing. This means that your data sessions are traveling through the same spectrum being used by LTE. Their speeds are going to suck until they can deploy 5G in the 3.45-3.7 ghz band (Massive MIMO is easier to deploy and there are larger swaths of contiguous spectrum ready to be used).

IMO, the carrier that may lead 5G in most markets for the foreseeable future will be T-Mobile. They have the ability to deploy 100 Mhz of contiguous 5G in most markets. The 2.5-2.6 Ghz band is low enough for good coverage and high enough for Massive MIMO. They have ocean front property when it comes to spectrum.

Should have gone with T mobile. We went to Lake Charles the other day and not having 5G felt like I was in the stone age...

I don't think it is just the 5G. I have a 13 and we don't have 5G yet and it still sucks. I restart it 4 or 5 times a day.

Not just 5G. My Verizon coverage has turned to crap over the last 12 months or so.

I live in Lake Charles and we have 5G UC with Tmobile. Not sure where you were but it is not the norm.

I hate 5G. Eyesore unstudied for safety and provides nothing good.
