Which Construction Project Management Software do you use and why?

I am in residential construction for a small company, and trying to decide on a software for our company to utilize for better project management. I see Bluebeam can help with takeoffs, drawing management in their cloud, RFIs, scheduling, etc.
I started a 30-Day Bluebeam Revu trial today. Mainly because of popularity and I have used it once before.
Any other suggestions?

Primavera P6 for scheduling and Estimation by Viewpoint for takeoffs.
My SO uses Bluebeam for her company and she hates it. Whenever she is doing markups, if there is any network disruption, it causes her to lose all of her unsaved work. Could just be the way that their IT has it configured.

I work for one of the bigger builders out here in DFW. All 3 of the builders I’ve worked for out here use Hyphen’s BuildPro for project management.
I briefly looked into Procore and Buildertrend before just to see what there is out there. (I like learning new systems). Both looked pretty solid. No clue about pricing.

Procore. Will handle all your needs.
Pricing is pretty stiff. They base it on a percentage of your yearly contract amounts.

Hyphen is actually located in Dallas.
I wish could I could take all of their services for a test drive.

I'm an application developer and I've actually been thinking of creating a web based software that handles project management for residential construction. Maybe you could be my first client?

Let me know if you. I’ll do your sales and training.

I came from industrial. I have been using excel for all estimates. I was a scheduler for awhile, and I just don't see the need for P6 solely for our simpler schedules. I do miss working with it though.
Really just looking for an easier way for our team to stay organized, but I think most are computer illiterate and plain lazy.
Getting them to save shite in the right folders in an organized manner is like pulling teeth.

I’ve used Procore and Newforma. Scheduling is either Project or P#(3-6).
Newforma had some great mobile apps. Actually started giving our field superintendents iPads instead of computers. Drawings, write RFIs, etc all on an app.

We all have IPads. Needs to be compatible with those for sure.

Procore for submittals, RFIs, Bidding, Drawings/Spec distribution, Bulletins, safety audits, photos, etc....
P6 OR Microsoft Project for schedules.

Any of you guys need a good sign company?

Procore if you want to have top of the line. Their customer service is incredible. You have to get your team on board to use it though, it's expensive af.

A little PSA: if you’re doing commercial or residential, you do not need Primivera. It’s complete overkill and licenses are extremely expensive. MS Project will do everything you need it to and it’s very affordable.

Most all the builders I do work for use co-construct. We have all the builders projects we do work for show up on the same screen. They update us on the calendar when they are ready for us to do jobs for them. It’s unbelievable. It’s free for the sounds to use if the builders have it.
