A computer with USB3 or buy your own USB3 wall adapter. Last year apple said "frick consumers, you can pay separate for your own wall plugs". Samsung quickly agreed that was a good idea.

That's Lightning to USB Type-C instead of the previous Lightning to USB Type-A. Type-C is vastly superior to Type-A, but that obviously isn't much of a balm to people who aren't used to dealing with Type-C, and now have to buy new shite to make it work.

ETA: Technically, USB 3 (which refers to the bandwidth of the cable) is separate and apart from the connector types. As an example, this is a USB 3 cable that's still Type A:

And more directly helpful to OP:

If you want to use that cable and terminate to Type A, you need something like this: LINK

Apple will do anything to squeeze one more $1 out of everyone they can.

Thankfully, with the new EU regulations, I think they will be moving to USB C soon. Maybe as soon as the 14

Is there any reason you couldn't use existing USB-A to Lightning chargers/cables?

The Lightning cable is the limiter, as that caps out at 20w, as opposed to USB 3.2 Type-C that can do up to 100w. From there, almost no device you put that Type A adapter into would give you more than 5w or so, so using a wall adapter is generally going to be your best bet, as long as it can do the full 20w, which the linked one does. With that said, I've never used that one, and it is simply a product of my searching for 15 seconds, so I'm not vouching for it individually. I was just giving you an idea of what you should be looking for.

They were going that way anyway. Some iPads were USB C as long ago as 2018.

Macbooks have used USB-C since 2015, but Apple's been pretty stubborn about sticking with their proprietary connector on iPhones

Thanks to EU. We can put stop to this Apple mafia of forcing people to buy more accessories.

I preordered one and still don't have it. I went with BestBuy for the best price but I should have ordered through apple to actually get a phone.

I think iPhone 11 was when Apple started using the USB-C connection and was the last time they included the USB-C wall mount with the phone.

I ordered my pro max 13 last Wednesday and it was on my doorstep on Monday.

It’s kinda funny, douchey, that Apple won’t include the outlet bricks in new phones anymore, but included a USB-C brick when I got a refurbed 11Pro from them.
