HDD with almost 10 years powered on.
Raspberry Pi uptime is ticking along even with no battery backup.
I had a linux server running for a few years but rebooted recently.

IPOD classic used daily since 2010. Dell desktop working fine since 2013, only turns off for power outages.

how did you weather 10 years without a power outage on that thing?

My Denon AVR-4308CI was purchased in 2007 and is still running strong and never any issues. It doesn't have 4K/8K video passthrough or HDMI 2.1 but it has been repurposed to my cabin and serves its' purpose. The thing is a workhorse.

I had a Mac book pro that I purchased in law school and it lasted 13 years. Changed out the battery twice myself. Once at 5 years and another at 10 years.

It is a total of powered-on hours.
Pretty good amount of time for running in a home desktop computer. I'm sure someone here has one from a server with more time.

Longest ever is an 8th gen NUC (8259u, Iris plus) running from new up until a couple months ago when I sold it.

Not my Pic, but I have a Technics SA-R277 2ch Stereo receiver that still runs like a champ.
God bless my parents. I blasted so much metal out of that thing and a pair of Cerwin Vega speakers.

My contribution would have been a lot more interesting before I gave up on HTPCs around 2009. My oldest tech is a Lenovo 710S-13IKB. I think I bought it in 2014. MS deprecated the processor, which meant I stopped getting security updates about 18 months ago, so I installed Mint on it. Replaced it with a MS Surface 4 (AMD) for $300.

I just updated from a Iphone 6S 2 weeks ago...does that count?
Daily use since taken out of the box. What do I do with it now?

The ceiling fan in my bedroom. Been running nonstop for 28 years.

With security stuff these days, the old uptime wars should be over. You should patch that thing.

Just whatever it could update in place. No reboot.

I'd say that is a pretty good run. Along with some of the other 10+ year devices mentioned.

I had a Samsung cell phone that I got in 2010.. I effed up and used a generator to charge it during the Ida power outage.. Screw it up and had to get a new phone which is a POS.. So 11 years for a cell phone..

I've got a Sonos zp80 still kicking. My zp100 finally died a few months ago so I replaced it with a zp120

39 days for my NAS. I had to replace the batteries in the UPS, prior to that, the NAS had been up for 18 months without being turned off. I put my 1250VA UPS on the router and NAS, *not* my computer as most do.
No idea how you make it 9.8 years without powering off a drive unless you have a generator.
