Or recent 2017 phones that are must-haves? (Prefer android over iPhone, FYI)

My Nexus 6P's battery has gotten so bad, so that'll be a big selling point on the next phone. All the fancy features are great, but not if it's at the expense of charging multiple times a day.

I know the new Pixel phones are well reviewed. And it seems Samsung is fixing to launch the Galaxy S9 in a couple months. There's also rumors of Samsung launching the first fold-able phone (although I'm not sure I want to buy into the first generation of that in case its got issues).

Anyway, it's exhausting going through all the reviews and rumors of dozens of types of phones. I trust the opinions on this board more than the average imbecile that reviews something on a blog or amazon review, so any insights are much appreciated

I've heard you can get the battery replaced at ifixit for like $80. I have a 6P and might do that soon.

I just want a phone with a removable battery and IR blaster.

I is the crap out of the remote for my tv and firetv.

It took me a couple of times of not finding the remote to realize how awesome a function it is. Now I don't even look, just change it with the phone.

I have an LG V20 and have been very impressed with it for over a year. I'll look hard at one of its successors before looking at other phones. Great camera, good battery, removable back, convenient features (small second screen at top)

It's a really awesome feature unfortunately it was never marketed well so many people didn't use it or know of it

The one I won't have to buy because my current phone is still hanging in there.

The Galaxy phones have sucked since they removed the IR sensors.

Let's hope it gets added to the Google Pixel line.

You base how good a phone is by a tech that is going away and almost nobody uses on the phone?
