Very first time I used Waze, I thought the damn thing was broken. It was telling me to get off on an exit that wasn't even remotely close to where I was going
Same for me. Took me off the interstate on the way back from Fl. Turns out, the two vehicles in front of me must have been doing it too, as they took the exact same detour I did and we went around a huge chunk of stopped traffic.

It's been bringing me to the wrong places lately, so I just use it to get to the general area. I always have to give myself extra time because of it. Oddly, Google Maps works more often

I went to a plant a few weeks ago, and Waze had me going over the levee about three miles down from the actual plant

The santa claus, Shaq, and Colonel Sanders ones were hilarious, too.

There was a terminator one a while back when that last movie came out. It was great.

Anyone here use this app?

A vast majority of the people here. But I’m all honesty, it’s not all that they crack it up to be. Pretty lackluster IMO

Can someone tell me the advantage over Google Maps? The interface just isn't as easy to move around in in my opinion.

Love WAZE. However, I do agree with this. It has a bit of a learning curve.

It has notifications of road hazards, traffic, and cops. It'll also give you alternate routes around traffic

And speed traps and red light cameras (especially useful in Chicago).

One day I’ll summon the courage to leave my iPhone behind.

There’s just too many choices with Android, and I don’t care enough about phone features to sort them out.

I was hesitant too. I did minimal research and decided to go with something with stock Android or damn close to it. Figured I'd buy something cheap off Swappa as an experiment. Never looked back. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the Motos or a Pixel.
