We're looking around to cut the cord. After a lot of research, we decided to go with CSpire internet and cable. With 5 receivers, it's going to be $170 per month, which is a considerable savings over the $320 we're currently paying Comcast.
is directv available in your area?

After 5 years, I'm now uncutting the cord. I was paying ~$90/mth for just internet only as they wouldn't give me anymore significant discounts with internet only. Now I'm getting Direct TV added for around the same price. Will report back when I receive my first bill for the final total. I have to sign a 2 yr agreement, but I can go back to cutting the cord if costs are too high at that point.

my directv rate plan is $90 and my total monthly bill comes to $97.

Damn that's hard to pass up. I'm paying about $140 for internet and psvue.

I can't do a dish because I have too many trees. I can do the direct TV Now but I ATT&T doesn't offer internet access where I live.
I'vecome to the conclusion that when cutting the cord, you live and die by the cost and availability of internet.
Here's the pisser in the whole equation: I am currently paying Comcast the equivalent of my right arm. They are offering a 49.99/month internet special; but I'm not eligible because I am a current customer. Those fricks are losing all my business: they could let me have that internet package and keep some of my business; but nope. Comcast is the worse company, ever.

I used to love time warner cable because every year they would put me on the current promo, and my internet and tv pricing was always competitive and aligned with what new customers were getting.
Once spectrum bought them out, they discontinued the practice of offering current customers the new customer pricing. As such, I signed up with DIRECTV.

Just cancelled my installation order. I tried three different times to get them out here. Supposed to be here today between 12-4, no show. I might try again after my vacation, but not impressed so far with the level of customer service.

We got U-verse a few months ago-expanded TV package (HBO, etc), and its 130 a month. Not as good as the $90 a month but still decent.

What kind of deal can I get with UVerse?
I'm currently with UVerse internet but it's about $75 a month
I have DIRECTV Now at $35
If I can get a deal with UVerse for TV and internet around the same price, I may make the switch.

You should be able to get a combo package for between 100 and 140 depending on what you want.

just got off the phone, looks like they are working the direct tv packages. Quoting the choice package for $90 + tx, with ATT unlimited data plan for cell phone, you get HBO and another $25 credit. I pay $75 fr 300mbps gigapower and with $90 tv, that is $165 for internet and tv with HBO, four receievers and all the channels.
VUE is $40-$60, hard to not go direct tv.

That's not true. That $49 DIRECTV promo will triple in 2 years. I have 25 MBPS internet, DIRECTV Now with sports, HBO, and Kids package, and pay a little over $80/month. We left DIRECTV because their rate would not stop rising. I am not calling every 6 months to get my rate lower. F that noise.

After several months of streaming, I jumped on this ATT/DTV deal as well.
I have DTV Xtra package locked in at $70/month for 2 years. I have UVerse internet 50 locked in at $30/month for bundling.
No extra charges for 2 boxes in bedrooms or DVR. Only hidden BS fee appears to be a $4.53 regional sports fee. So grand total is $104.53/month currently. Will go up some after the 3 free months of HBO expires.. but this deal was hard to beat.

Just be aware that Uverse TV may not survive all that much longer.
