Not in my experience.

Bluetooth hasn't been unreliable it at least 5-7 years...probably more

It will...it's pretty damn close already. $500 and up bluetooth stereo headsets have been flying off the shelf for several years. With each bluetooth iteration that's released it gets better.

If those options mean less in the device in the form of other features or more in the form of money...that is a bad argument.

FWIW most of the reviews for the pixel 3/3xl have been very favorable.

Seems like it's a great phone if you can get past the notch on the xl. Or just get the smaller size if you are ok with a smaller phone.

My next phone will probably be a onePlus.

I was pretty set on getting a Pixel 2 or 3, but I've decided spending that much on a phone is just stupid. Google Fi has the Moto G6 for $199 right now, plus a $75 service credit promotion. $125 for what looks to just be an updated Nexus 6 is fine with me. I've been happy with my Nexus 6 after almost 3 years with it.

Yeah, I'm considering holding off on a new phone to go with a budget phone. Moto G7 is slated for March 2017, although that is a ways away. Aside from my battery being shite, my OG Pixel is holding up okay, so may spend a little $$ to have the battery replaced and rock it until the Moto G7 releases. At $250-$300 it's just hard to ignore the quality in that price range. My brother has a Moto G6 Play and loves it.

You don't notice the notch after about an hour. If you are watching video in landscape mode, it comes back, but for ordinary use - I don't even see it. I've had one for about 24 hours.

GREAT phones. Mrs. Midnight got the regular 3. I was pretty much set on the regular 3 myself, but after handling both, for my tastes the 3 was a little too small and the XL seemed a little too big, but closer to the right size (TWSS) - so I went that way. Happy so far.

Got the regular 3. It feels a lot bigger than the pixel 1 be because of the screen. The call screening feature is a beautiful thing.

I've had the Pixel 3 for about 5 days now. The call screening is fantastic, I have been getting 3-4 spam calls a day for a couple of months, haven't received a single one after the second day with this phone.

My 2XL had an unfortunate fall from a ladder last week and did not survive. It was going to be a little less than a Black Friday 3XL to fix it, so I went with the 3XL. I've been playing around with it for a few days, and other than it feeling exactly like the 2xl in my hand, it performs way quicker. Probably not worth the cost to upgrade if you don't have to, though.

I haven't gotten to really try the camera out too much. The call screening option is awesome.

Very underwhelming

I'm halfway through day 1 with my 3 XL, i feel the same.

I can't stand the notch, though I'm sure by day 3 it's something I'll rarely notice again.

My main issue is the battery, seems really shitty so far. It's 1:30p in the afternoon, I don't use my phone a whole lot, and it's at 73%. Texting my best friend, he uses his Iphone X similarly with podcasts in the morning ride to work and sparingly at work, he's at 94% right now.

Just not impressed at all at the moment. I would say it's only day 1, but I'm not sure how something like battery life can get better?
