I will be up at the lake this weekend and we don’t catch ESPN. I have a iPhone with unlimited data, a chromestick and a tv. How do I make the game appear? Thanks.

You can turn your iPhone into a wifi hotspot and then link your Chromecast to the iPhone's wifi hotspot.

Launch the ESPN app on your iPhone and then cast the game to the Chromecast.

If on iPhone

Settings>Personal Hotspot

Then like the other poster said, connect the chromecast to your hotspot/phone as if it were a router, then open the watchespn app on your phone and cast it to the chromecast.

Thanks for that. So, when I select the hotspot the chromecast will pop up? I assume it will kind of be like pairing my phone to my truck?

If you are on an old Grandfathered in unlimited plan with At&t I don`t think you can do a hot spot without paying more.

Could be wrong, just make sure so you don't miss out.

True. My plan does not allow me to start a hotspot or tether. It pops up a window to call them so I can pay more if I want to do that.

My plan is probably a year old. I have done it before I just don't remember how.

this, is why I was never a fan of chromecast...a stupid extra step that no other device requires

Lightning to HDMI adapter

You could just connect your phone to your TV if your plan doesn't allow tethering. This is what we do at the camp since there's no wifi.

If on iPhone

Settings>WiFi

Personal Hotspot

It is how I got on the internet before cable could do construction of a newly built home.

If you have voice control (My new Roku does) Voice in LSU.

Set it up at home before you leave. That way you can troubleshoot with less pressure. Nothing worse than trying to troubleshoot when you are wanting to watch something.

I tried to explain the whole 2 phones to chromecast thing to my dad and then just decided to go with this. He just called me and said he was watching TCU in his camper.

So, you need devices to be able to chromecast from a hotspot?

If you don't have a Hotspot, you can use another phone as one.
