Spotify not allowing ad skipping on podcast. Even for premium subscribers any longer?

I have a Spotify premium subscription due to the amount of traveling k do and up until yesterday I’ve always been able to skip ahead 15 seconds on ads. Driving home yesterday it stopped allowing me to do so. When did this change? As this feature no longer being available really frustrates me and make the activity of listening to a podcast much less enjoyable.

I'm a Spotify Premium subscriber, but I use it solely for music.
I listen to my podcasts via the iCatcher! app. It lets me jump ahead 60 seconds or back up 30 seconds with one tap of a button. Have used it for several years and skip ads all the time.

I had this issue a while back on Android, but the issue was with the lock screen skipping (i.e. I couldn't fast forward from lock screen and had to get into physical app to fast forward).
It was a glitch that got fixed with app update. Maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling app.

Rogan is now doing this. Some podcasts have been doing this for a while though (no skipping ads), even for premium.

I noticed this a while ago, wasn't sure if it was a particular podcast or not, which caused me to switch my podcast listening to Apple's Podcast app. I only have spotify for music and joe rogan now.

I had a similar issue, but a reboot fixed it.
