Thought this was some joke at first, but its definitely real. I think it is pointless, but cool. Checked out their new product announcements, and I like the ones they're doing for cars. One that integrates car cameras are available on certain Tesla models, but there's also one you can mount on your vehicle that detects bumps, break-in attempts, towing, etc and can sound an alarm. I might get one for mine eventually if reviews are good.

One design flaw IMO is the camera appears to only be viewable in flight and is stowed in the base when not in flight. If it's going to be sitting on the shelf why not make it usable as a stationary camera when you arent cruising it around your home.

What is the camera quality, battery life, flight/video times? Might be nice to make some home recordings for someone overseas to get a look at how the magic happens.

Can I get one for outside to chase my dog when she starts digging in the backyard?

Well that settles it. I'm getting the Ring low voltage transformer and I already use a ring camera and Amazon dots so I guess I'm all in on Amazon's ecosystem.

been checking that out. very very interesting but i'm currently neck deep in my asus mesh but if these live up to the hype it may be worth it to speed up my network. seems a bit 'gimmicky' tbh though.

also the built in zigbee radio is very interesting. amazon finally moving to a local radio smart hub?

Welp, time to start looking at other options since Amazon is heading to the shitter shortly.

CAD, please reconsider. We don't want you to ruin our nice Ring system.
