I didn't see that option. Maybe I missed it. I'll try it out tonight. Either way not a big deal. Minor inconvenience I suppose.
Are you using a Fire Tv?

I feel like I'm limiting myself using the fire tv instead my PS4

From my experience with this on the PS4, you can watch it from the beginning by bringing up the info screen(or whatever it's called) and hitting "start over". However, you can't fast forward through commercials if the show is still on.
I watched better call Saul last night on the PS4, 30 minutes after it started.
I was able to select start over and I was able to fast forward through commercials

The thing that stood out the most was the way the quality of the picture fluctuated. Appeared to drop to 720 or less when changing channels or a new show started or when going to commercials.
Considering all TV channels broadcast in 720P/1080i, I am assuming you are complaining about the picture quality after you change channels.
It works like Netflix where the adaptive bitstream takes a little bit before you get HD picture quality. Just not sure there is much they can do here.

Push down on the remote. In the options, there is an arrow pointing to the left. That is the start over option.

i found the start over "button". Wouldn't work on the movie I tried. I'll try again tonight on a tv show instead.

Just so many more variables at play. So much infrastructure between you and the servers.

I don't get that fluctuation. It is probably on your side.

If the cost is worth it to you then go for it.
Some of us are willing to put up with that to save $100/month.
During the week I am barely home. I am vastly overpaying for a service I don't need. I am willing to accept a slightly inferior product for a big discount.
Considering I can get my locals OTA, and watch espn has a standalone app, the biggest thing for me (football) is covered by that anyway.

I'm still weighing Vue as an option because nothing would make me happier than calling DirecTV and telling them to suck a testicle.

I think they were saying your internet isn't adequate, all of my devices are on wifi and I've had zero issues with what you're saying

Looks like ESPN3, ESPN Classic and ESPN Deportes are being added to the Vue Guide if you're paying for it

yeah I'm sure that's the one..access only offers ESPN and ESPN2..but ESPN3 might be an option on Access. Core will probably take care of the rest.
Are you on Core? If so..what Fox Sports Regional channels do you have access to on the guide?

Do you occasionally get the Fox Sports NOLA feed for Pelicans games?
Posted on 4/20/16 at 7:15 pm to VermilionTiger
I've honestly never paid attention, guess it's too late to keep an eye out for it now
