i tried a free trial of vue on my roku and i thought it was terrible.
When? The Roku PS Vue app was terrible until about this past November/December. I switched to Fire TV because the initial app on Roku was so terrible. It's got all the features you expect now.

Eh...Vue has a horrible channel line up for the price.
I get everything I want during non-football season with Sling Blue and the lifestyle addon (wife demands Hallmark) for $30 a month. Football season it goes up to $40 a month.
That plus $60 for 100Mbps and I have everything I need for $90-100.

Cox Bronze package (100mbps/140 channels) is $89.99 a month.
How is this effected if you have 4 TVs?
I have 4 TVs with Cox 150 and DTVNow....which puts me at 130 /month after the $5 increase today on DTVNow.
Now I can use DTVNow on all my TV's with steaming device attached. Granted I can only use 2 streams at a time, but with 3 total people that is usually fine. With Cox cable I assume I'd have to pay something for some stupid box at every TV even though at least 1 of my TVs goes for weeks at a time without being turned on. However, when I have a guest I want it to work.

I've been using YouTube tv since feb and I really like it.
The unskippable ads suck, but they're only on actual shows, which I don't really watch. Sports records like normal dvr and can fast forward no problem.

Vue has been marketed terribly. Naming it Playstation anything was a horrible idea. 90% of the population thinks you need a Playstation to operate it.
This. They should have named it: Sony Vue TV or something like that. The Sony brand is a well established TV brand name. Why that felt compelled to associate it with the PlayStation is beyond comprehension.

Enjoy your two set top boxes for an extra $828 a year. I'm sure it's totally worth it, though
I'll gladly pay that to avoid inconsistent streaming quality, a shitty channel line-up, switching between devices to watch the local channels, a DVR that actually works, and having to go through the guide every time I want to change the fricking channel. And yes...it's totally worth it. Sorry you're poor, Hubba.
