Not out for Android app yet so this won't apply to Chromecast.

I'm still confused what actually is launched in Chromecast. Is it basically a faceless version of the apps you have on your phone?

I don't know if this is the same/related or not, but 2 days ago I noticed that there is now a row of what's live on my PS Vue plus a grid view guide.

I also noticed that a channel I watch regularly using PS Vue now shows up as a recently used app with whatever show is currently on live as the face of the card. It would be nice to control where the card to access the guide shows up, I'd at least like it in the apps I can arrange rather than just in it's own row. But this is the kind of step forward that is needed to help unify all this fractured media. Now I can browse what's on live on PS Vue without opening the PS Vue app. I think I'll probably use the frequent channel card that shows up in recently used more than the new Live TV guide or row of cards of what's on, but both are good upgrades.

Regular android doesn't have a Google TV app, but androidTV devices have the "live Channels" app that has a grid guide. It now works with DRM channels unlike fire TV's bastardized version of Android.

Can you explain in more detail exactly what this grid shows?

In the Fire Tv interface I now have an “On Now” row that lists networks alphabetically more or less in the row with the tile for the network being a graphic for the show that’s currently on. There also is a grid guide tile at the front of the row of tiles that opens up a grid style guide. For me this is all shows from my PS Vue.

ETA I only have it on my Fire tv dongle. It’s not in my Fire tv box. Not sure if it’s slowly rolling out or only available on certain devices.

Apologies everyone. I left out the keyword PLEX in the OP.

Powerman, my 50 some odd OTA channels now show up like dish or DirecTV or Comcast now.

Makes recording and watching OTA TV much better experience.
